Yo. I was unprepared for the trauma of childbirth. And my doctor was sort of awful too. Had an emergency c section and when I started to cry from fear he said “you need to pull yourself together.” I’m sure one day they’ll find his body.

A scholar in my field told me she knew my project “couldn’t be done” bc she had tried and “the sources don’t exist.” She then explained this is why she’d scored my grant app low. I was a 3rd year grad student. She was wrong. The book will be out in September.
