The Illinois State Police has confirmed that Trooper Nick Hopkins has passed away, after being shot in the line of duty. Our prayers are with the Illinois State Police and the family of Trooper Hopkins, who was killed in the line of duty this morning.

D1 Shift & NFD rescued 3 baby ducks that a citizen saw fall into a sewer. NFD was nearby on a crash & stopped to lend assistance with the operation. The citizen was very appreciative & impressed with the extra effort by both police & fire.She will see a rehab for the ducks.
