The doctors caught it at a very early stage but he refused to do any effective treatment. I’m pretty sure he admitted later that he made an awful mistake.

I think you might be the only one getting “capitalism bad” from this but drama is inherently political and stems from political issues. People say doctor who became “woke” recently when the fourth episode of the revived series was a blatant parody of the Iraq War.
