@RewildingIre We have seagulls nesting on our roof every year - they are only there for a few months and take off once their fledglings leave the nest. I've grown quite fond of them despite the noise - they exhibit great parenting skills. They've gone by mid-August and return in Spring.

@MaiaDunphy I live a few minutes' walk from an emergency accommodation centre here in D4 and you would hardly know they were there. The area is as peaceful as ever with no problems at all. If only they could house more in the empty Baggot St hospital building.

@illonaduffy I don't think people understand how incredibly hard GPs work and the extra hours they put in to catch up with referrals, updating of patient files, sending scripts, phoning patients with blood results etc. A 15 minute appointment can generate SO much extra work.

@IrishTimes Hopefully they'll actually design and build apartments which are a pleasure to live in with a high standard of construction. We need storage, non-defective building materials and adherence to fire regulations. Also green space and public transport wouldn't go amiss.

@JanetPHorner I'm often struck by the lack of elderly people in Dublin city centre. Public transport is just too much of a hurdle for them. Now the park is to be rendered inaccessible for the physically vulnerable as well. Can only the young and the able-bodied enjoy our public spaces now?

@westie1988ie @Love1solidarity Well done you. Most women I know have had to temporarily take a child with them into the workplace as an emergency measure. They also need to take time off when the child is ill or in need of the dentist. This is also the real world.
