To all the folks referring to Sodom and Gomorrah to condemn LGBTQ folks and Pride Month...
This is what the Bible actually says about the sins of Sodom. Sodom was "ARROGANT, OVERFED, & UNCONCERNED. They did not help the poor and needy." Those were the sins of Sodom.
"If women are going to be soldiers who fight our battles, we have to be able to kill the babies in their wombs" is one of the best natural law arguments I've ever heard against women being soldiers and fighting our battles.
Remember when we had peace in the Middle East and 3% interest rates and $2 gas and you could afford to take your kids out to eat?
At least there are no more mean tweets.
Sen Lee's amendment failed. They "promise" this bill won't be used to attack Christians. Lee said, "Ok, well then can we put that in writing then?"
They said, "No."
That is all you need to know.
My amendment simply prohibits the Federal Government from retaliating against schools, businesses, and organizations because of their religious beliefs about same-sex marriage.
That is all it does.
Christian kids should not be in schools where Pride flags are displayed.
This really isn't complicated. If you take issue with that, you've compromised and you're desensitized.
BREAKING: North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper declares a STATE OF EMERGENCY to fight against school choice.
This hypocrite sent his own kid to a private school.
We're freeing families from the clutches of the teachers unions once and for all & there's nothing he can do about it.
"Christofascist" is trending right now in response to the new speaker of the house. Because if you're just a normal Christian, the left is going to call you a Christofascist. Do you get it yet? It's not about your tone; it's about what you believe about Jesus and His authority.
"I made my church as sterile and lifeless as a hospital for 2 years, and people left because of politics!"
"I ignored the most pressing issues in people's lives for the last 5 years, unless it was to scold for caring about that stuff. Now they've left because of politics!"
Overwhelmed by feedback from pastors who are fighting—and so often, losing—these wars in their own churches.
This isn’t some fad affecting megachurches & celebrity preachers. It’s a crisis of staggering scale—a serious threat to your community and mine.
Conservatives are always saying, "If we do this moral thing, then it will give the left permission to do this immoral thing, so let's agree to do nothing."
I promise, with or without permission the left is already planning on doing that immoral thing.
Just do the right thing.
Theological Liberalism 101.
With this tactic, theological liberals justify anything and everything they want. It's just their interpretation, after all, and your interpretation is no more 'inerrant' than theirs.
There is no way of truly knowing anything down this path.
Do you want to know how gay this
@Acts29
video is? Insert an unpopular but equally vile sin everywhere they say or imply LGBT.

@LigonDuncan
. I’m a 42 year old father of 4 and I do not live in my mother’s basement. I’ve been a pastor for 15 years of a thriving church that I helped start.
I thought you were a fool for endorsing Woke Church, and I said so at the time. I thought everyone who didn’t
When I look at the discourse coming from BigEva / Regime Evangelicals, etc - I think about my sons. If I was expected to believe this effeminate, naive parroting of spirit of the age talking points was "real" Christianity, I don't think I would want to be a Christian. 1/
Why the uproar over the Francis Collins stuff? Because it represents the rank hypocrisy of our leadership class.
As long as the guy is buttoned up, "safe" looking, AND has cultural power, it doesn't matter what horrific things he does or believes. 1/5
I didn’t think this could possibly be real, but it is. Link in the replies.
You need to understand that they hate you, Christian. They want your kids destroyed and hating God, and this is a religious doctrine for them.
This is why you must say proudly and boldly, “No, Christ is
If you're a Christian who is interested in what develops around Elon Musk buying Twitter, that's totally OK because we're not gnostic pietists and it's OK to care about stuff.

reacts: "The other thing that blew me away is how many people are unprepared to talk about the nation vs. the empire. When you have crumbling infrastructure, a fentanyl crisis, people pouring over your border, when you have all of these things occurring inside
I'm 42, and I've been a pastor (at one church) for 15 years. Over the years, when teaching on parenting, one of the most common quips from boomers and genX has been, "just you wait, you won't be saying that with such certainty when your kids are older."
That's cowardice. Both
Pastors in Alexandria in 641: “We must defeat the Muslim hordes.”
Pious police: Well you can't really say that, God will get glory either way.
Yes, I know that. I’m talking about my kids not being dead.
The right must win.
In the T4G panel today, Lig Duncan talked positively about pastors never speaking to issues in a way that would make it obvious which side of a political debate they landed.
It's really hard to exaggerate how stupid this is.
Some Evangelical leaders are glad there was prayer at the Democratic Convention.
I think it is a blasphemous thing to pray in Jesus' name over a platform that seeks to murder babies, mutilate children, and promote socialism, lawlessness, and the destruction of the family.
The religious right or "right-wing extremists" have been pretty much right about everything over the last 40 years when it comes to the slippery slope of cultural decline. But go ahead, ignore us when we tell you it's plain as day that the + stands for kids.
I assumed this story was about how evil the German govt is because of their schooling laws.
No, this family is being deported by the US back to face religious persecution in Germany. This is a spiteful attack on Christianity by a godless and evil Democrat administration.
I completely get not wanting to vote for the lesser of two evils, that's a reasonable take. Voting for the lesser evil is also reasonable. It’s Christians wanting to vote for the greater of two evils that is causing all the division.
This is Jason Paredes. He voted to keep Rick Warren and Saddleback in the SBC. He openly states that his church has women pastors.
Our SBC leaders thought it would be a good idea to put a man who is proudly in defiance of the BFM2k on the committee to decide what to do about
Addressing “things we have never done before” in the history of the SBC will permeate discussions of those who will present a report next June that could reassert or redefine what constitutes a church to be in friendly cooperation with the SBC.
The rot of this network really is something to behold.
Hunter Beaumont is a board member. In the next tweet, look at who he employs to "manage our amazing Kids Team and loves helping our church connect with the tiny humans."
And this has been going on for years!
I truly feel for pastors and church planters in
@Acts29
who are conservative and not pleased with the direction.
Their relationship with the network is essentially a dictatorship. No voting and will be removed if they publicly dissent. What can be done? 1/
Over the last decade, marriages and even entire churches have been destroyed because husbands didn't have the leadership or discernment to tell their wives to knock it off when they were reading Be the Bridge, or Divided By Faith, or some Beth Moore garbage. Obviously, that "stop
Did you know that
@Lifeway
has an entire landing page dedicated to selling Jesus Calling, but they don't sell
@VoddieBaucham
's Fault Lines?
And SBC leaders wonder why people think there's a problem.
Christian, you need to be totally impervious to the accusation that there is something wrong with your theology for believing what most Christians throughout church history have also believed until about 15 minutes ago.
Do any of you squish pastors realize how quick a jump it is from the FBI rounding up abortion protestors to the FBI rounding up any pastor who speaks out against the spirit of the age gender madness? We're not that far, the time to speak up *against the regime* is running out.
Men in my church regularly tell me about their workplaces being turned into CRT hellscapes. It's become a constant topic of conversation. You can imagine their response to Christian academics and elites sneering at them that they just don't understand and CRT is a boogeyman 🙄.
This paragraph from
@DavidAFrench
, an evil and twisted former Christian, is the essence of failed boomerconism and failed liberal pluralism.
Realize the "rights of others" he's talking about here is the "right" of allowing progressives to mutilate and abuse their own kids. 1/3
At the University of North Texas in Denton, far-left activists shut down the Young Conservatives of Texas (
@YctUnt
) event featuring the father who lost custody of his trans child. The radicals pounded on the table & shouted, “F— you, fascist” over & over.
Until then, we fight. And I fight because I want my sons to see that following Jesus makes them masculine men, rooted in the real world. They don't have to become naive, neat, useless men to be Christians. They can have a brain of their own, have fun and follow Christ. 7/fn
On behalf of the SBC, let me say that over the next year we will begin the necessary work of disassociating with all churches that affirm or employ women as pastors of any kind, in rebellion to God’s word and creation design.
There are 1,954 Target stores in the US. You'd think that one of the GMs of those stores would want to keep their integrity and have some fear of God, and draw the line here and make a national story of throwing the junk out of their store.
But no, that never seems to happen.
If you can't articulate to your kids why homosexual sin is worse than heterosexual sin, don't be surprised when they get deceived by it. Trite answers aren't good enough. The natural/unnatural distinction matters. Dare I say natural law, submitted to Scripture, is helpful here.
No matter what you do, statistics say your great-grandchildren likely won't know your first name.
But what you do has a great impact on whether your great-grandchildren will know the name of Jesus as Lord.
Wokevangelicals aren't arguing with
@ConceptualJames
because he's an atheist challenging their Christianity.
They are arguing with him because he's an atheist challenging their new woke religion and their new woke gods.
The SBC is the only org I know of that funds an entire DC lobbying firm (
@ERLC
) to lecture its own people rather than represent them. It’s insanity.
If you agree and want this to stop, the only way is to
#ChangeTheDirection
and vote for
@tomascol
in Anaheim.
I'm not going to be nice here, I think the other evangelicalism is driven by status in the secular humanist regime. They want to be seen as nice, neat, and non-dangerous Christian men. In neutral world, we could co-exist. Now in negative world, we can't. We're going to split. /6
Getting word from a church planter that the NAMB Send event was quite interesting tonight. Says the panel spoke directly against the Law Amendment.
Is this how you want your church planters being influenced, SBC? Is this how you want your $$ spent?
Let's pass Law and prove that
It's 2021. Imagine, if you will, a government that thinks the best way to promote public health is to dress up a man as a woman and have him lecture us about "science."
Strange how many "conservative" pastors/theologians feel such a passion to police their own tribe when it comes to right-wing politics, but not so much when it comes to woke racial nonsense.
Our boys need to know that being a Christian doesn't mean being an effeminate regime nerd like Russell Moore.
I need to say it that way to properly convey what I mean here. What is at stake is that otherwise, they are going to go with Andrew Tate.
It's not enough to not promote
"I have a church full of conservatives, and I spent the last 5 years telling them they were stupid and wrong for demonstrating their values in public. Now my people left because of politics!"
I don't know what to say right now, but I think it's important for pastors to feel the burden of people in their churches who feel backed into a corner and violated by mandates. This is a big deal. This is a vile injustice, and pastors who are glib about it betray their people.
This makes me sad. This is Barnabas Piper in "The Pastor's Kid" talking about how his dad used his stolen bike as a teaching moment:
Bad public theology has consequences. This was a time to teach justice and the proper role of the magistrate, not suffering and sacrifice. What
Church, let’s unify around making it illegal to murder children before they are born and illegal to groom children into sexual perversion after they are born. If we can’t agree on that, no unity.
It's not about David French. It's not about Russ or Beth Moore. They've left us, they are gone.
This is about our stubborn leadership class who refuses to admit that we were right about trajectory. They continue to associate with these snakes and expect to maintain credibility.
"I put pharisaical burdens over all my people on medical/health issues I actually ended up being wrong about, and they left over politics! And I will never apologize for it."
I think it's a good time to remind everyone that egalitarianism is sin. It is rebellion against God.
There should not even be a question about this if you understand the foundation of the arguments and what is at stake.
@ScottAniol
Scott, come on man. You’re sharing an organization there that hates Christ and His church and seeks to drive all Christians from public life.
The leftist judges on the Supreme Court are evil people.
These are not mere disagreements, but what we're looking at here is the application of evil applied to law.
I'm glad for these victories, but it is sobering how close we are to chaos if these people gain full power.
This logic is crazy. Think about this for a minute. They are trying to tell us that we are not allowed to publicly identify those *within* our organization who violate our own *clearly stated* doctrine.
Doing so is not "doxxing," not remotely. This is policing our own house, and
"Everyone with a corporate job in my church is afraid to demonstrate their faith at work, so I'm preaching against Christian nationalism. Now people are leaving over politics!"
Resurfaced footage shows secretaries of states (who all happen to look the exact same) conspiring together about future elections.
Middle-aged, liberal white women are the biggest threat to democracy in America.
The Zoom call took place in October of 2021 and included Colorado
Very serious question,
@albertmohler
. Why would I send any of the many young men from my church to be educated at Boyce, when you have ethics profs promoting David French?
This is a joke. Where is the accountability in the SBC? Yet you want us to keep trusting and giving to CP?
Today on the podcast, I have the privilege of hosting
@DavidAFrench
to talk about the debates over regulating the tech industry in light of the challenges to free expression today as well as the role of personal virtue in the public square.
@BHAcademic
There is so much to be said, and I don't mean this to be a treatise; I just wanted to demonstrate the absurdity and maybe wake some people up.
People who practice the degrading and unnatural sin of homosexuality need the gospel and the grace of Jesus just like everyone else,
Pastors who are clinging to a neutral-world church model will see increasing conflict with people in the pews who are living daily life in negative world.
People need hope and a plan, not scorn and dismissiveness.
No one, absolutely no one, had "Endorsing homosexual preaching is OK as long as you don't affirm homosexuality" on their 'Things SBC Leaders Will Try to Get Away With in 2021' bingo card.
"Kids are being openly groomed in public schools, but I think the real problem I need to address in my church is a rising fundamentalism. Now people are leaving over politics!"
Pastors *don't* need to address every current event, and practically they can't. But pastors do need to be wise enough to know when certain issues are pressing on their people and require more direct shepherding.
Believe me, radical gender ideology is pressing on your people.
Why we are defunding
@NAMB_SBC
. 🧵
Our church, planted by the SBC 14 years ago, has decided to fully defund NAMB in our CP giving and designate our funds away from NAMB. Over the last year, we’ve directly funded $150,000+ in church plant and international missions efforts. 1/11
This Russell Moore article in JETS from 2006 deserves a thread. This is fascinating, you're not going to believe what you find here. Who is this guy? We NEED this guy right now. I'm just going to quote. Every one of these is a Russell Moore quote:
Basham has the receipts. Anyone still supporting the ERLC will look like a fool after this is published, not that they shouldn't have know better already.

A famous pastor once said he didn't want his sons growing up to be "neat Christian men." I doubt he would say that anymore, but man that still resonates with me. I don't want my sons thinking French/Moore/Keller/Ortlundism represents faithfulness. So neat and vapid. /2
Sometime in the future-
Democrats: Homeschools and Christian Schools should be illegal here as they are in Europe.
Republicans: No.
Some pastors, probably: We need a 'third way' that is neither of these options, but something above them both that diagonalizes the extremes.
