It is Hamza Khan day today for sure. But here's a vignette just to understand how he completed and won the World Junior championship title: He didn't get to wear the Pak colours cos The Pak Squash Fed didn't give him the kit. He had to get his own kit unlike rest of the players

Muhamamd Inam gets #Pakistan their first silver medal at the #CWG22 , he unfortunately lost against India's Deepak Punia. Inam had been requesting the govt, Pak Sports Board etc bodies to get him to train abroad. He made massive effort to just get the training in last 3 months.

Many people don't know but #ArshadNadeem is also hafiz-i-Quran. He told me once that faith helps him stay motivated & focused. One of the most fascinating things I found abt him was him not bothered about touristy things when abroad. His only competition remains on his mind.

Appalling: #Pak news channels can tell you about cricket's Asia cup squad, they can tell you about Ronaldo in the news bulletin but they have no idea that the national team have registered a win at #SAFFSuzukiCup2018 . Nothing about the match. Not a word. #shame

And that is another Silver medal for #Pak as Zaman Anwar lost to canada's Amarveer Dhesi in the 125kg final of the #CWC2022 wrestling event. Inam's comments are really echoeing as that they did gave their all, but it was the govt's job to facilitate them with training abroad.

Update: Arshad Nadeem again chose to ignore Pakistan Olympic Association officials who wanted to congratulate and greet him. Athletics fed of Pak chairman Major Gen (R) Akram Sahi was with Arshad. A rift so great between POA and Athletics Fed that even historic medal can't fill.
