This happened to a teen 1 day before the Future Lawyers Camp. Our work is not a theory, it’s a dire need in this Black legal crisis. After teens were stopped & detained in downtown St. Louis, 1 officer shoved a teen as she was expressing frustration about treatment from police.

DNA samples came back almost a year after the alleged attack. Prosecutor Elizabeth Lederer refused to drop the case despite having zero DNA evidence to connect the boys to the crime. Ego and white supremacy reared it’s ugly head.

Yesterday a white man sped down Broadway & he hit my bestfriend while sitting behind a metro bus. He was displaying signs of intoxication, had urinated on himself, etc. The ambulance even said that he was intoxicated. Why did @SLMPD let him go home with a friend with no arrest?
