There is the possibility of thunder across the east side and into Jackson and Eastern Douglas counties. The highest chances of thunderstorms will be east of the Cascades into Klamath Falls, Lakeview and Mount Shasta. Forecast confidence is highest in Lake county.

Smoke from area wildfires will impact portions of Southern Oregon today. The heaviest smoke will be across eastern Douglas and Klamath counties. Smoke levels will fluctuate through the day with the most impacts in the evening. For those sensitive to smoke, avoid going outdoors.
The risk for thunderstorms and lightning is present this weekend. Chances increase west of the Cascades this evening and overnight, including along the coast. Areas east of the Cascades will have a risk during this time and into tomorrow afternoon/evening.
