This week, 8th grader Rylan Heyerly broke the school record on the 50 yard butterfly, with a time 25.45. The record was previously set in 2018 by Brody Page with a time of 25.77. Congrats Rylan on this huge accomplishment. Let's keep going!

Over the weekend the NMS Girls Cross Country placed 1st at the IWU Marion Invite, with our own Mia Kurtz placing 1st overall! Great job Knights!

Last night the 7th and 8th grade football team won against Crestview. 7th won 35-0 and 8th won 16-13. Both teams are undefeated on the season. Keep up those winning ways!
At the school board meeting on Tuesday, NMS recognized our 3 conference champs in basketball! Congrats once again 7th grade girls and boys, and 8th grade girls on your remarkable seasons!
As a result of Saturday's race, Mia Kurtz is now the Norwell MS Cross Country record holder for fastest time. Her time of 11:06 was 13 seconds faster than the previous record!
Reagan Wilson's time of 11:21 puts her in a tie for 4th fastest time in Norwell MS CC history!
The 7th grade basketball team is playing in the NE8 championship game at Dekalb tomorrow night at 5:00. Good luck 7th grade and bring home some hardware!

Weekend Recap: NMS CC Girls and Boys Teams are champions of the Wildcat Classic Invitational in Marion. Mia Kurtz placing 1st overall for the girls race and Gage Reinhard was our 1st Norwell runner across the finish line, placing 3rd. Great job NMS CC Team!

In 7th grade volleyball, the Knights win in dramatic fashion. After being down 18-24, they rallied to win 25-24! What a comeback! Great win Lady Ks!

Members of our girls golf team competed yesterday in the Northern Indiana Golf Open Championship. The team placed 3rd with Vivian Reidenbach placing 6th overall!

It was a great night for NMS athletics. The Cross Country ran great at the Maple Creek invite with Mia Kurtz placing 1st with a time of 12:41. 7th grade boys football defeated New Haven 19-7. 8th grade boys won in dramatic fashion 20-19. Great work Knights!

UPDATE: The 7th and 8th grade girls will NOW be playing on Saturday, January 28th at LEO. 7th grade start time is 11:00 with 8th grade to follow! The championship game will be Monday.

With the regular season concluding last night, here are the NE8MS Basketball Tournament brackets. The girls begin their journey at NMS on 1/11 when they host Leo. The boys will host Riverview on 1/16. Tickets are $4 and no passes will be allowed. Hope to see everyone there!
