Staff at the NMA were excited to see Eileen Wright's footage of a possible Orca in Plymouth Sound. Orcas can be found in the British Isles but not in any great numbers. In theory, they can be found in our waters but one venturing into Plymouth Sound would be quite a surprise!
A huge congratulations to
@LewisPugh
on completing his mammoth swim to raise awareness for our Oceans! It was an honour to have Lewis here at the NMA during his journey and a massive well done from everyone here at our marine conservation charity.
While aquariums like ours remain closed, indoor places like Primark have been allowed to reopen today.
We’ve decided to revamp our logo, hopefully that’ll help…
Fingers crossed we'll be allowed to reopen on July 4th!

While aquariums like ours remain closed, places like IKEA have been allowed to open.
So we have decided to go for a different approach with our signage...

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Citron, our beloved Lemon Shark.
At the age of 40, Citron was not only the oldest shark in our Aquarium but possibly the oldest Lemon Shark in the world.
Two visitors tried to enter the Aquarium today not realising we were closed.
Here they are just swanning around thinking that they own the place. They probably just swan to say hello to our staff still working.
