You may have seen in the news this week about A&E departments experiencing their busiest Summer ever. Well last month our three emergency departments saw more than 27,000 attendances. There were also 4,425 attendances at the Urgent Treatment Centre at Hull on top of these figures
Meet Noah, a volunteer at Ward 14 CHH. For over a year, he’s been shadowing nurses, helping caterers, and more. A college student, Noah volunteers to build his CV and explore healthcare, aiming to study medicine. He finds it rewarding and loves talking to patients.

Amber Yates and Lesley Robson, Specialist Midwives for Vulnerable Women at HUTH, have been out on the maternity wards during Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week. The 'tea and teaching trolley' had a great response from staff and good feedback to support service development.
We have 43 finalists waiting in the wings to find out if they’ll scoop a Golden Stars 2024 award this week - we’ll be celebrating all of their achievements on Friday but only 15 will be taking a trophy home!
We're committed to improving recycling. At NLaG, we've rolled out recycling hubs at our hospitals to encourage staff to recycle. At HUTH, bespoke catering recycling stations have recently been introduced, which will reduce our carbon footprint.
