On December 23, P-22’s remains arrived at
#NHMLA
and he was welcomed back to his homeland in a blessing ceremony led by Tribal leaders from the Gabrieleño/Tongva, Tataviam, Chumash, Gabrielino-Shoshone, Akimel O’otham, and Luiseño Tribes—thread.
This afternoon, P-22’s remains arrived at the Natural History Museum. He was transported by NHM Senior Manager of Community Science Miguel Ordeñana, Assistant Curator of Mammalogy Kayce Bell, and descendents from Gabrieleño/Tongva, Tataviam, and Chumash Tribes.
