Over the weekend, Ashraf Nawab achieved the incredible feat of taking his 1000th New Brighton wicket; the wicket fittingly being a typical left arm spinners dismissal as he ripped it past the batsmen while brushing the edge of the willow.
Delighted to confirm the return of Martyn Evans to Rake Lane! Martyn is an undisputed NBCC legend, having scored over 7000 runs and taken over 500 wickets over a distinguished career, which cumulated with captaining our league winning team in 2015.

Sad news, Ted Williams, Sefton Park CC, passed away this morning. Ted was an excellent cricketer who played the game hard and it was always an absolute pleasure to socialise with him afterwards.

We are delighted to announce the signing of Tom Anders back to NBCC. Tom not only will be back playing for us but he will also be Head of Womens Cricket and a Lead Junior Coach. This is a huge asset to our rapidly growing junior section and newly founded womens section.

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John Eachus, the father of Sue Sherratt and grandfather of Scott and Stuart, last Sunday afternoon at the age of 97.
