Balloon update from Fort Sumner, New Mexico: The fifth flight for the fall campaign, the High-Altitude Student Platform 1 (HASP 1.0) launched at 9:54 a.m. EDT (7:54 a.m. MDT) and is currently at float at around 123,000 ft. Track the balloon here:

The Exoplanet Climate Infrared Telescope (EXCITE) scientific balloon mission launched today, Aug. 31 at 9:22 EDT (7:22 MDT) from Fort Sumner, New Mexico, and has reached its float altitude of 130,000 feet! Keep track of the balloon’s location here:
