Back in the day, I met Toni Morrison in NYC, when I was working on MAMA and I told her I was a writer. She looked me in the eye and squeezed my shoulder as she was leaving the stage and said, "I already knew that. And good luck, baby." That did it for me.

A worker came inside my loft to change the bulbs. He was wearing a mask. But when he got to the top of the ladder I asked if he'd been vaccinated and he said no. And I told him to get down from the ladder and get out. I called management and lit into. them, too.

A 50-year old friend told me to spread this news. If you go to Walgreens or CVS for the Pfizer vaccine close to closing time and if there were no-shows, you can most likely get a vaccine b/c they have to toss them. She got one. But her husband didn't. Will keep trying.

My BFF moved to Lisbon over a year ago. We both lived in the Bay Area most of our adult life. She said she's never moving back to the USA. She's living on her SS: $2400 a month. 3 br and can see the ocean. Train rides to Paris, London, etc. New friends from around the world.
