I try to go w/ my husband to see his athletes in the spring. I was able to make it to a game w/ him that some of my students played in! I loved seeing them outside of the classroom & participating in something that they love. Building relationships is what it’s all about!

We read Balloons Over Broadway & learned about how puppeteer, Tony Sarg, created the balloons for the traditional Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Students designed and created a balloon to be puppeteers in our own parade on Monday! Stay tuned for the video of our parade!🎈💚☄️💛

Our class headed down to Mrs. Schneider’s class to help them assemble their gingerbread houses before they decorate next week! Students had some time to work together to solve a crossword puzzle & get to know each other. Both classes had a blast! Thanks, Mrs. Schneider!🎄💚☄️💛

Anything is POPSICLE when you try your best! I couldn’t be more proud of our kids’ effort and hard work on the Ohio State reading AIR test this week. We celebrated trying our best and being done with the state reading portion with popsicles on this gorgeous day!💚☄️💛

First rotation of ELA centers went awesome today! Students worked on paragraph writing, identifying figurative language, making words plural by following the rules, and partner reading about Ewold the Elf before answering questions to color the mystery picture!💚☄️💛

Students have been working hard at finding the main idea & 3 supporting details in a passage, which has led us into paragraph writing. They are now able to organize & structure a paragraph. I can’t wait to dive into our multi-paragraph informational essay unit next week!📝💚☄️💛

1 of our third graders started her day off by dropping off some goods to our Second Harvest donation box! Our Community Support Drive is still going on this week. Our focus is pasta & canned meats if you are able to donate. Will we be able to pull off the win against Nord & AJH?

We have been learning how to use the RACE writing strategy. Today, we practiced writing a RACE response to questions by using different colors to represent each part of the RACE strategy. I love seeing how hard these kiddos are working to become better writers!💚☄️💛📝
