This is my 'Burn a BigMac' lesson. 🍔 Students can order whatever meal they want and then in teams must try and 'burn' 🔥 it off. They can choose how hard they work and what they need to do. 📈 Already excited about this! 😀 RT If useful! #Physed #PE #Energybalance

3 weeks ago our second baby boy arrived at 30 weeks. We’ve spent the last 3 weeks in and out of NICU and the road is looking bumpy. I’ve lost count how many hours I’ve spent by his bedside or drinking coffee. Nurses deserve everything they are fighting for. #NursesStrike #NHS

Whole class feedback summary sheet. I use this to be able to identify common misconceptions and areas of strength. I print and keep in my teaching folder and can monitor developments with each class over time. I've found it very useful for target setting. RT if useful

Teaching outside when it’s cold. Here’s a few tips over the years ⛄️ 1. Organise as much as you can inside (bibs, teams, warm up activities) 2. GET them MOVING asap. Fun short games or races. 3. Remind students of positive lessons and REINFORCE it with lots of praise

NQT PE Tip When giving verbal feedback to students during practical lessons avoid blanket praise 'Well done' As this doesn't reinforce any learning. Always verbalise the movement / movement pattern that was done correctly and then praise the student. 😀 #PE #Physed #PGCEPE

Here is a simple adapted game of pairs cricket. The focus is on trying to hit the ball through the off side. This can only be achieved with correct footwork and shot selection. My students loved smashing big 6's / 12's. Please RT if useful! 🏏😃🔥 #cricket #physed #PE

Played a LOT of football fixtures over the years and the difference in the games on 3G is really starting to show. Safety ✅ Pace ✅ Passing confidence ✅ Quality ⬆️ Such a shame most schools don’t have one, as I honestly believe those without are MASSIVELY missing out.

Positive Relationships are 🔑 for a successful learning environment. However it takes time to develop these within a school, especially if you are new. Don’t expect it click instantly. Demand high standards. Be consistent, fair and clear. Your students will appreciate it.
