In Madrid after the final, quite drunk, I found an even more drunk Kenny Dalglish.
Me: Kenny, I’m in charge of your stand!
Kenny: Yeah?
Me: I am yeah
Kenny: Get more fucking leg room then.
There was no answer to that.
@RMTunion
If Sarah also got an 11% pay rise she might then be able to get driving lessons/afford a car/afford to fill her car/afford hospital parking charges. (Or a taxi or the bus for the day)
Ultimately, everything thrown at those on strike comes from a failure of government.
@JamieMcdonnell1
I think its the no1 place to go because people from all over the world go there to pay respect to all those that died and remember the horrors. It’s not no1 because its a great day out for all the family to enjoy. Have a little think as to why you’ve got the reaction you have.
First it was All lives matter.
What about refugees? Oh no we should look after our own.
Hungry kids here? Nope , parent should sell their iPhone.
Alright well what about your wife or daughter? No, it’s their own fault.
What are we doing lads? Have a word in the mirror.
I apologise to all the Germans living as working here now. This next week is going to drag up everything and make you wonder why you’ve come here in the first place. Just know there will be a few of us on your side and we’ll be just as annoyed by the coming garbage as you.
Since I spend a ridiculous amount of time at football grounds, I’ve decided to document it on Twitter for a calendar year. So, game one, Daisy Hill 0 Bury AFC 2.
@TheRedmenTV
Apparently, in Australia there are 48 million kangaroos and in Uruguay there are 3,457,380 inhabitants. So if the kangaroos decide to invade Uruguay, each Uruguayan will have to fight 14 kangaroos.
Please give this a read. Our Club
@AFCLiverpool
along with an ever growing number of clubs are putting our names to this.
The
@FA
need to explain themselves.
📰 A joint letter signed by more than 60 clubs across the country has today been sent to the
@FA
questioning the decision to void the season at steps three to six of non-league, and at various levels of the women's game.
Please read the letter here.
La Liga moving a league game abroad. This is nothing new. The 39th Premier League game idea has been around for 10 years. It shows that top flight football is not about fans, just money. It’s why we formed
@AFCLiverpool
in 2008. Football should be for fans, not multinationals.
There isn’t anything anyone can say really. I guess we all have to be happy for the time we had rather than sad for the time we won’t. Take it easy Ben.
Today is my best mates birthday. He’s the ripe young age of 72. Seen here, stuffing his face after insisting he wasn’t hungry when offered a salad for his tea.
@SanandBilly
This won’t mean much to many but today
@AFCLiverpool
won at a place they’ve never won at, in what must be 12 years of going there. Normally we don’t get a sniff. Today we won 4-2 and it was boss.
I understand why people are questioning the
@AFCLiverpool
decision so hopefully these notes will help explain a bit more.
It is far from easy to make such a decision but I want football back sooner rather than later.
What a boss day of footy. A 2-1 win in the Vase for the arl
@AFCLiverpool
made the day complete as it was, but then 5-0 at Old Trafford, that just tops it off nicely.
After seven months, I did my final shift at the test centre so it was only right it ended with a dog so thanks to
@IantheMumford
Paddy became the last ‘Dog of the covid test centre’ (as seen on my Instagram).
Seeing FSG Out all over the place. Lets say they do sell, who is buying LFC that wouldnt have signed up to the Super League? LFC is a global billion pound business. It’d be used by new owners as such. For me, FSG really HAVE to listen and learn now if they’re gonna move forward.
So the Prem and the Champioship will finish. League 1&2 look like they’ll do PPG. Steps 1&2 look like they’ll follow suit. So why are step 3 to 7 null and void? Honestly, why?
The FA chairman Greg Clarke told Premier League chairmen today that the governing body will not sanction the season being voided or relegation being scrapped, reports
@martynziegler
Well for me thats season 14 done with for AFC Liverpool since Im not there Saturday.
Its had its ups and downs but we all knew it was gonna be hard after promotion.
The challenge now is to build on it both on and off the field. This season has been big for various reasons 1/
This year has been horrific enough but now there is more terrible news to wake up to, Rest in Peace
@donaldsteele58
you will be greatly missed by us all at AFC Liverpool. Take it easy mate.
Hang on a minute, has a Club who felt disrespected by having their manager contacted in an underhand way, and took to Twitter to complain, gone and done exactly the same thing? Surely not!!
What a night for the
@AFCLiverpool
lot. Two games left and it’s up to us now. If we want it, then we’ll stay up. Simple as that. Although the twists and turns so far could see us lose both and still stay up. Bizarre league this, but we go again Saturday. Up the non league reds!
Happy 70th birthday to the man jointly responsible for our matchday hospitality, who is caretaker of our flags, who has retrieved more balls booted out of the ground than anyone, who sweeps the dressing rooms & starts off the singing. Looking like Richard Gere there Billy! 😎🍻🎂
Weve lost a lot of people over the 11 years of this Club and its never easy for us, nevermind the families and loved ones. But at this time of year, we can try to be happy that we had rather than sad that weve lost. I hope youre trying to enjoy today
@WhitbyKarla
as best you can.
A year ago today we lost our friend, supporter and statisician
@donaldsteele58
who passed away quite suddenly. He would’ve loved watching this side play and recording their achievements. You are still missed Don. Rest In Peace.
#YNWA
Some day that.
Thanks to the
@FCIsleOfMan
fans, officials, and the physio for all their patience and help today.
And to all our lot, everyone did what was needed.
Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes for Harry today.
And especially our visitors
@FCIsleOfMan
who did all they could too.
Fantastic stuff.
Today is the birthday of
@SanandBilly
and here he is partaking in a couple of his favourite pastimes, namely being generally nosey and feeding he’s face.
Happy birthday arl fella!
An excellent European away performance from
@AFCLiverpool
today. Just held our own first half then took our chances second. 3-0 going into the second leg but it’s a long way from being over. I’ve seen some 3-0 deficits over turned in my time.
It is very disappointing that Clubs go behind other Clubs backs to poach managers.
A simple phone call is all it takes, it’s not like anyone is going to stand in anyone’s way is it?
We’ll be looking to appoint a new permanent manager in the new year so we’ll be looking for expressions of interest/applications after Christmas, via email.
Hard earned three points tonight for
@AFCLiverpool
and back up to third in the table. Keep doing what we are doing and there’s a treble to be had. No pressure like.
With my Instagram ’Dogs of the covid testing centre’ going down a treat, I’ve decided that Twitter should have ‘Dogs of the vaccination centre’. So here are the first two offerings.
Perfect game for
@AFCLiverpool
tonight and the result was the right one. Many many thanks to
@RemycaUtd
for the part they played tonight and the way they looked after everyone.
@Donrimmer3
did everyone proud.
Big day for everyone yesterday so I guess it’s only right to acknowledge it all. Firstly,
@AFCLiverpool
finishing the league in 3rd and giving Stuart the send off he deserves. The mans a winner and the victory yesterday was perfect for us all. He and the club deserved it.
Well what a day that was.
A record home win for
@AFCLiverpool
winning 8 (eight) - 0 against AFC Darwen.
I got me a East German Border Guards hat.
I had beef a curry.
Excellent stuff.
So it looks like pubs can open from 22nd June, which means all hands can have a bevvie, a boogie and cop off, yet I still have to wait for a haircut until July?! How does that work?
We might have lost today but the effort was there and can’t ask for more than that. Wins will come with that attitude and
@AFCLiverpool
will stay up.
#UpTheNonLeagueReds
If you think a draw against City is good enough then ask yourself, where else will City drop points? At home to Watford or Brighton? No. We need to beat them or that’ll be it.
About me. It’s isn’t about any one person. It’s hard work because it’s for each other. But because it’s for others, it makes it’s worthwhile.
Up the Nonleague Reds.
I had four votes to cast today. The only Labour candidate I voted for was
@MetroMayorSteve
. I know there are still plenty of good people in
@UKLabour
but I couldn’t support the mess they’ve made.
@Yip4Mayor
got my vote. Hopefully next time I can go back to Labour.
Am I happy with
@AFCLiverpool
today? No, no I am not. Is anyone? No, no they won’t be.
But them lads have made history for the Club. Them lads will be back out there next week. Them lads will know how shitty it feels and them lads will learn from it and get it right. Vamos.
Jurgen Klopp has been nominated for February's Premier League Manager of the Month “I think I got it once - it didn’t change my life massively to be honest.”

📝 RECRUITMENT 📝
We looking to strengthen our squad with couple of xtra top quality players.
Moving up to u21s next season with a u19s squad.
Really exciting 3yr programme in the North West u21 Development League.
Please contact
@AFCLiverpoolU21
It was a truly fantastic team effort today by the
@AFCLiverpool
lads. Every one of them put their bodies on the line and got the rewards, something we haven’t seen too much of this season. More of the same and safety is a certainty.
I met Pele once. He was coming out the old Main Stand. (Think it was the game Gerrard came on, tackle, sent off, but anyway).
I was walking along the car park when he came out. He looked up at me…
Pele: Hello!
Me: Alright Pele.
Then he was gone into his minibus.
Tomorrow night
@AFCLiverpool
open their home league campaign. Saturdays defeat won’t sit easy so no better place to fix it than at home. It’s gonna be a long hard season but the plan is to be successful so let’s hope tomorrow is the start on that road.
