At we are cross-chain and support many ecosystems (ETH and evm-chains -bsc, polygon, avalanche-, Solana, Cosmos, Polkadot...). Our funding is currently in stablecoins.
DeFi from 2020, born in a bear market is still standing.
A big part of DeFi from 2021 and 2022, born in greed, with some centralized parts, is being wiped out. Some exceptions to this, true to their roots will bloom, though.
The real decentralized finance is winning.
Nearly 20 years ago I dropped out of national economics at the uni to go in tech (well, nearly).
Today, I build a protocol that has economics rules and needs carefully crafted monetary incentives, flows and markets.
Life is a circle.
Around a decade ago I dropped out of Law school to ape into tech.
Today, I build DAO Governance frameworks and I help people design AIPs that are basically protocols bills.
Life is a circle.
🚧 Minor Tech Update 🚧
Here's what we've been working on over the last few weeks...
• Support for signing
@tezos
addresses in next release
• Beta of Aleph account with support for Wallet Connect
• Support for persistent VMs in aleph-client and aleph-message specs
+more!
When an email starts with "I am a YC founder that's raised more than X" (or "our founder/our co-founder") you know it's a shitty spam. I should perhaps set a specific filter in my mailbox...
It's really great to see the generative machine learning come into play (stablediffusion et al.).
It's actually even more fun to see the same trolls that were against NFTs and crypto to be against it because using copyright and whatnot.

2023 is going to be a wild year for decentralization. We're gonna see some groundbreaking applications, groundbreaking protocols, and groundbreaking ideas.

Let's not jump to conclusion and accuse people before it's settled.
There are so many bad takes on entrepreneurship out there.
Being a founder is taking punches in the face, smile and go on. When you're on top of the world, you need to stay humble as you'll get punched again, sooner than you think.
Congratulations to our friends from

for this release: I am really thrilled about it!
@aleph_im
powered decentralized and dynamic NFTs for in-game content is ground-breaking. We'll give more info about how it is implemented soon :)
Introducing Ubisoft Quartz 💎
We're bringing the first energy efficient NFTs playable in a AAA game to Ghost Recon: Breakpoint!

Just took a picture of a few of the CPUs I have here to test stuff for
@aleph_im
nodes.
One of these has 64 cores and 128 thread, supporting up to 2tb of ram and a shitload of PCIe lanes. Think about it and compare to what was available 10 or 20 years ago.
For those of us who are passionate about decentralization, 2023 is an opportunity to continue pushing the boundaries and bringing new ideas to the table. Let's stay committed to our vision and work together to create a more open and decentralized future.
This is what a real internet computer looks like :)

Totally agree with this. Solana is doing a great job at scaling high quality writes in a decentralized way.
Now, on the read side, the real deal is keeping this scaling decentralized... and that's what we are working on.
How are we doing it? 🧵
Hackathon codename: "eat your own dogfood". We need to be able to use the
@aleph_im
SDKs and network to create nice things (using parts of the code each developer didn't work on).
It allows us to improve the documentation and SDKs by being users of the code we produce.
GM!
I see a lot of you are worried about this market, I am too. But we aren't in 2016, 2017 or even 2018.
We are in Dec. 2021 and the world is looking now, companies are using smart contracts and decentralized finance.
🧵
⚠️ Not a drill. It's the biggest alpha I will give you this year.
Ever wanted to be early in one of the biggest AI projects out there, anon? It's your chance. Stake $ALEPH or run a node and do this.
We would like to give an extra special shout out to the
@aleph_im
community.
Are you staking $ALEPH?
Running a Core Channel Node?
or a Compute Resource Node?
Well! Be sure to connect your associated reward wallet with

What most people don't see is the amount of usecases that
@aleph_im
allows.
From tools needed by the DeFI space to entreprise doc management and social dApps.
This is what Web3 needs: 👏 Decentralize 👏 the 👏 last 👏 mile👏!
Guess what? it's available, today. $ALEPH
@IDrawCharts
@solana
At
@aleph_im
we are building an infinite reddit-like decentralized discussion board and social trading profile based on
@solana
(currently
@ProjectSerum
but we plan to support other solana ecosystem products too)... And many more things.
That's what we are working on at
@aleph_im
: a decentralized cloud alternative based on peer to peer, elliptic curve cryptography and blockchain technologies.
One node or provider is down? Just switch, the data will be there.

All that drama about subnets... While

What's going on at
@aleph_im
currently, a thread.
TL;DR: We've been a bit quiet, for good reasons. We are working on infrastructure and projects, team is expanding.
Apple posted thoughts on private cloud computing... That's exactly what
@Libertai_DAI
and
@aleph_im
are cooking for decentralized AI!
Did a quick video to explain.
In Paris we always go big, so I’m going to take my first THREE paychecks in ALEPH when I become mayor. Paris is going to be the center of the cryptocurrency industry and other fast-growing, innovative industries! Just wait!
Fun unknown fact:
@aleph_im
($ALEPH /
@TwentySixCloud
) is actually a L2 of Ethereum. I built it this way in 2019. It was made to be a multi-blockchain L2, but other L1s died, and ethereum made it to the only base security chain.
It's not an EVM network: it's a network that
Anon, remember this:
@Libertai_DAI
is the best shot at decentralized AI today. It works, it's live.
Features in the works:
- Confidential inference
- Agents deployment
- Finetuning
- Multimodal inference
And... Points that will be used extensively in the ecosystem.
Definitely. Ownership of a picture when it can be downloaded with no issue ? Nope, no value.
NFTs need to have real use cases.
Example: We are working on NFTs for
@aleph_im
core channel nodes. It allows trustless transfer of node ownership with no inconvenience to stakers.
Alright so to be clear:
1) NFTs can be really cool!
2) also NFTs can be super lame
3) this reminds me to the STO crazy: good idea, but putting the cart before the horse
4) let's come up with important use cases for NFTs, build those, and then generalize
If any team needs help getting on-chain data or whatnot on Solana following/tracking the wormhole incident feel free to ask me or
@aleph_im
, I'll stay awake for a while to help.
So true.
Well, I still worry, as all founders.
But I know what we are up to: I know that
@aleph_im
is a game changer.
And I also know that it will all come together sooner or later, adoption first.
How will the forget feature of
@aleph_im
work, and how can we do a decentralized GDPR-compliant network? A thread.
The idea is to introduce a new feature in the coming months: the "forget" feature.
By making the NFT metadata URI point to an microVM you can ensure transparency and decentralization while keeping the NFT mutable.
All mutations can happen in database entries (all hashed, signed and timestamped onchain).
NFTs are usually minted as immutable - but that doesn't have to be the case. Developers could allow part of the metadata to be updated after mint.
Why?
- NFT gaming (leveling up)
- Projects with a story arc
- Ticketing
What other use cases am I missing?

Issue is when you store the actual data linked to that art on a centralized storage paid by the issuer. If the company goes down, your art too.
Let's use a network like

and have the art content stored in a way that is as secure as its ownership! $ALEPH

uses libp2p (single channel tunneling, gossipsub, discovery...) and IPFS (as std content addressing) for parts that make sense, and our own for others. We aim to be that glue.
Good part is that we accept messages from most chain including ETH, DOT, KSM...
The dynamic between Ethereum, Filecoin, Swarm, IPFS, libp2p, and devp2p is really complex and confusing.
libp2p + Ethereum + IPFS still makes the most sense to me. It's super unclear to me why "the money people" resist this dev driven narrative so much.

I know that the current events in the crypto ecosystem are hard, brutal even. And I stand by everyone impacted.
That being said, we have funding to withstand a bear market. We will continue to build, and ship, for an always better network.

I fully agree. 80 years ago it was my grand mother. Ostracizing citizens that want to flee is not the way, especially when they do this because they feel threatened.
Helping them leave, leaving the problematic country empty of its best elements is way better.

What is the $LTAI token, and whay is it used for? Let's have a look together.
Spoiler: if you are in the AI field or using AI assistants, you will need it!
To stake $ALEPH tokens means keeping the tokens in your wallet, so you can use them for storage as well (and have an ever growing storage capacity!)
Totally non custodial: no risk of hack of a smart contract, just chose a node on and you're good to go.

I believe you are wrong, ser.
There is a need for microVMs, IPFS integration, decentralized database entries and many more of our features in the Solana ecosystem.
We are also working on indexing for solana dApps based on our microVM network. Example:
I am personally working on resolving the pain points and issues I see in the industry, my team
@aleph_im
is working on it too, actively.
Our "crypto"/"blockchain" industry is young, but it's graduating.
So no, I don't panic when I see this price action.
