“Though shattered by his loss, Baelon took solace in the two strong sons that Alyssa had left him, Viserys and Daemon, and never ceased to honor the memory of his sweet lady with the broken nose and mismatched eyes.”
Truth: Rhaenyra and her uncle deserve what Jaehaerys and Alysanne had. Long-ass marriage, a dozen kids, quarrels and reconciliation, holding grandkids in their arms.
"they're so toxic to each other why are you still shipping them and calling them soulmates?"
because they are soulmates indeed and toxic is interesting
"My wife can't bear me a son. I have exactly 4 daughters, but I still don't have a son to continue my lineage & blood. I'm thinking of exploring getting someone else pregnant. I'm starting to resent her, what should I do?"

What book!Rhaenyra means the most to me is that, despite being a romantic and "girly girl", she claimed her birthright with as much confidence as any other, and garnered support and loyalty of her people all the same. She's a romantic and that's so important to me
matt's daemon is irreplaceable to me because his acting presents the details of daemon's vulnerability. it's difficult for me to imagine this when reading/writing fanfictions with other people's faces. and i always need a little vulnerability to see daemon clearly…
If I were a bard during Viserys I's reign I'd make so many fucking romantic love songs for the rogue prince and the realm's delight, that every smallfolk would want them wed, every highborn ladies I've sung for would die for them to marry☝
ok weird au… daemon owns a butcher shop and rhaenyra is the small reticent girl that helps him, nobody in that neighborhood knew what's their relationship - too small an age gap to be father daughter, too weirdly intimate to be only employee employer…
i just feel like if i were grrm and created a group of magical royals with the customs of marrying their family members, i'd write their dynamics in excruciating detail instead of just outlining it in the form of historical text…

It's kind of crazy to think political alliance marriage and mutual manipulation is not hot?? I mean in this scenario all I can think of is Daemon whispering every triumph of theirs into Rhaenyra's mouth every thrust and falling prey of her pretty lil c[gunshot]
sorry, i forgot some people never need to subject themselves to these menial things and therefore never bore the need to romanticize the crushing insignificance of leading a mortal life
Winter Solstice - Chapter 4, "Heart Of A Dog" (5.4k, E, Daemon/Rhaenyra)
Ice starts to melt.
*past Daemon/Mysaria and Rhaenyra/Harwin
TW: references of grooming, past infidelity

“雄兔脚扑朔,雌兔眼迷离。双兔傍地走,安能辨我是雄雌?”
Daemon teaches Rhaenyra how to kill a hare on the eve of her sacrifice to her ancestral gods.
🥳This is for the birthday girl merricat!!

Wasn’t the choking literally Matt Smiths idea… 😭😭😭 two women duking it out over a maimed disabled child is completely different from a man choking his wife out bc she suggests sinking the entire Realm into a civil war is counterproductive
daemon seems like the type of guy who would offer you a series of kinky things to try when you have sex, and gladly make vanilla love to you when they're mostly rejected
"Rhaenys refused to make her bed, although Elia insisted upon it. So Rhaegar would sneak into their daughter's chamber and make the bed for her, to spare her Elia's disappointment."😭😭😭😭😭
au idea: daemon has no interest on rhaenyra however rhaenyra is obsessed with her handsome uncle, so she stalked studied and seduced him, step by step.
Winter Solstice - Chapter 5, "Latent Heat" (4.3k, E, Daemon/Rhaenyra)
Rhaenyra and Laena. Daemon and Corlys. The ice fishing content that nobody asked for.
TW: blood and gore, consumption of marijuana edibles
@hauntologism
the writing is very inconsistent, perhaps done to exaggerate the tragic tone of the story and make rhaenyra especially subject to the cruelty of fate - but the execution is really poor and it just serves a different flavor of female torture than the book
