I always thought that the peptidoglycan layer was a hard wall structure. But it is flexible and moves around a lot! That explains how the molecules pass through it without problem. I always scratched my head thinking about this.

Benzkonium chloride is used on lysol for example and it can be absorbed by the skin. Some ppl are genetically more susceptible to intoxication. Maybe its a toxin, not a patogen🤷‍♂️

@JenGommerman Now this would be a real vaccine agains coronaviruses. For a vaccine to be eficient agains this virus it need to generate IgA antibodies in the mucosa barrier.

Working on staphylococcus aureus, this bacteria is awesome 😳 and dangerous, wow. I always underestimated bacteria, and have been focusing more on virus, but learning about S Aureus its so entertaining. (Sorry for the background noise, its my son, he loves watching my videos 😂)
