The Wildcats will face Field for the first time in 15 years this week. Mogadore is seeking to avenge a 7-6 loss to the Falcons in 2004, as well as earning the program's 100th win of the decade.
A Veterans Day tribute to Mogadore football alumni Tommy Lee (Class of 2003—5,329 career rushing yards) served as a Marine.
Few know this, but he was selected to be a pallbearer for 38th U.S. President Gerald Ford in 2006.

Mogadore meets old playoff rival Cuyahoga Heights this Saturday in Twinsburg. The Wildcats and Redwolves met 5 times in the playoffs from 2000-2006, the first three of which were in the Regional Finals (00, 01, 02). Mogadore has won all 5 meetings in the series.
Final score: Mogadore 42, Rootstown 6. The Wildcats scored two defensive touchdowns in the second quarter in handing Rootstown it's first loss of the season.
The Class of 2018 had a hand in adding a state finals appearance, a regional title and 2 conference titles to the the Mogadore legacy. They are also the 9th consecutive class to reach the 40 win mark over 4 years. Hats off to the seniors!

Last night's win was very similar to the 2002 state semi final victory over Newark Catholic: 2 touchdowns in the final minutes buoyed by two huge plays: a fumble returned for touchdown in 2002, and the blocked punt in 2019.

Chase Berkman's 90 yard touchdown run against Field is the second longest TD run in program history, and longest since 1959 (C. Spade, 91 yards vs Beach City.)
The Wildcats scored 7 touchdowns on 7 complete drives. The only drives that didn't end with a touchdown, ended with kneel downs at halftime and the end of the game.
Mogadore welcomes the Crusaders from Canton Central Catholic to Memorial Stadium for a Region 21 Quarterfinal matchup this Friday.
These two met in Round 1 last season, won by Mogadore 21-13.
With the win over Rootstown last night, The Wildcats kept a rather obscure streak alive. It has now been 40 years since Mogadore has gone more than two consecutive seasons without a league championship (76, 77, 78).
Mogadore defeated Southeast back in Week 8, 47-6.
Mogadore has faced a league foe in the playoffs only once before, besting Windham in the opening round, 28-14, in 1999.
