Mitski reveals her sixth studio album ‘Laurel Hell’ is “more uptempo and dance-y.”
“I needed to create something that was also a pep talk… Like, it’s time, we’re going to dance through this.”
Mitski says her greatest achievement is “to have loved people” she hopes her new album, The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We, will continue to make that love shine long after her death.
“I really want to keep making music, I’m willing to take the difficult stuff with the wonderful stuff. So I renegotiated my contract with my label, and decided to keep making records. Thank you so much for your patience and support while I found my way here. I love you!” - Mitski

Mitski’s seventh studio album, The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, is full of the ache of the grown-up, seemingly mundane heartbreaks and joys that are often unsung but feel enormous.
Out September 15th.
Mitski recounts being the victim of infidelity in new song ‘Should’ve Been Me’
