@malkeasaad EM needs SLOEs to apply. Which are usually given only to people with rotation through VSAS. VSAS is not available to IMGs. Rotating in ERs is not available to IMGs. That’s why you won’t get applicants

A while ago a dreamt of an active PPE (face mask) with far UV-C inside it. Somehow the the light didn’t touch the face but was like a shield 1cm from the face that worked on every inhaled exhaled air. I keep thinking about it. Someone tell me that this won’t work, so I can stop.

I won a national research award/studentship in 2009, was given 5000 rupees by Indian Council of Medical Research for 2 months of work. It’s peanuts but I was thrilled. I just found out that this year they award INR 50000 to recipients. Woah! This is awesome!

@absurdlymax @StefanFSchubert FGM actually removes the clitoral glans or the whole clitoris along with the hood by a non medically trained person without anesthesia/basic antiseptic precautions. (I believe often with nothing more than a blade/knife.) Analogous thing for men would be much more graphic.
