Alert: Overpass at US90A/Texas Parkway closed due to icing. As temperatures plummeted, Mayor Robin Elackatt, Mayor Pro Tem Anthony Maroulis and City Manager Odis Jones surveyed local roads/bridges, including McLain Boulevard overpass/Beltway 8, that was salted at 9:15 p.m.
BREAKING: A 1,000-gallon tote containing sulfuric acid fell off a truck and has a leak. Due to the required 75-foot containment, the northbound lanes on Highway 6 and Glenn Lakes are closed. The city is working with Fort Bend County HazMat on the scene. Stay tuned for updates.
