Metalcore is better off now than it's been in quite some time. SO many bands are in their prime right now: Sleep Token, Invent Animate, Silent Planet, Thornhill, and Imminence just to name a few. Plus a lot of really good new bands that feel fresh, FOXCULT for example

@MetalBlakedowns @metalcorestrug Has he done simplistic riffs in Spiritbox? definitely. But even so they aren't bad or uninspired. Not every song needs to be over the top insane. But Rule of Nines, Belcarra, and Yellowjacket are all bouncy as hell and prove that he does more than just power chords.

TOMORROW, I take a train down to Oregon to visit a friend. The day after we'll be headed to the Portland date of the Summer School tour!!! And I'm going with a full face of makeup and in women's clothing, I've never gone out in public like this! I'm really nervous but excited.

@SOTSPodcast I can't say I'm a massive fan of either artist, but they do NOT deserve the hate and misogyny thrown their way. Most of y'all are afraid and intimidated by empowered women and it shows. Pathetic.
