It’s easy to be anti-war when you’re on the winning side, but what are you going to do when America (and her allies/puppets) start losing? Revolutionary defeatism meant the Bolsheviks sacrificing 1/3 of USSR’s population and 1 million square miles to anti-communist nationalists.

The reason why modern conquests all involved genocide is because these smaller powers were terrified of assimilation by larger, more coherent civilizations. Japan in China. Germany in USSR. Italy in Ethiopia. If they didn’t resort to genocide, they’d ultimately get assimilated.

The reason for so many dissidents from Communist nations is because they give their people world class educations. If you can make more money abroad with your education than you can at home, there’s no limits to the rationalizing you’ll preform to justify abandoning your nation.

Every so often I am genuinely shocked that great western intellectuals believe whole-heartedly in the myth that tens of millions of Russians perished due to communism, as if the USSR could easily recover from such a massacre. Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes truth.
