Over the next hours and days, spare a thought for the players. As fans, we’ll get over it eventually, but for them it will linger for months. They’ll be the ones staring at the ceiling in the small hours, running through what went wrong.
Here's some free publicity. Don't have the 100k followers but I'm fairly sure the ones I have are a) mostly Irish and b) Dublin based. The restaurant looks very nice by the way, will definitely be in!
We just received a message from an
#influencer
to book a Table this week we gave them times available and they picked one then they replied with have we influencers rates?Is this a thing?Like we are a
#smallbusiness
and in these times we all need to

As shitty a take as this is, to me it just showcases Rog's incredible mental resilience. Everyone has poor moments but without Rog, there's a lot of medals missing from people's pockets. His rugby legacy is assured, unlike this anonymous account
Incredible how Ronan O'Gara's reputation among some as a legendary tactical kicking mastermind survived performances like this on biggest stage. On his day behind a strong pack he was decent, if limited, kicking 10, but on off days a total liability more often than some remember.
I suppose what I'm getting at is be kind. They'll be far harder on themselves than anyone else. Life will go on, and rugby will continue to thrill and disappoint us
Rare photo of Pete actually smiling on his debut against Scotland in 2012. He's still a cranky bollix, but he's been such a key part of so many big days for Ireland and Munster. Delighted to see him get the ton, hopefully he'll have a similar look on his face tomorrow night!
Thanks for all the messages over the weekend. Obviously a fairly hard subject to talk about, but needed to be done. For anyone in similar circumstances, there are plenty of resources out there like
@SamaritansIRL
and
@PietaHouse
. Make use of them.
They’ll have worked insanely hard to get to this stage, and it’s soul crushing. For some, it’s their last cap in an Irish jersey. For others, it’s their last World Cup. The lucky ones have to wait 4 years. In 2015 after we lost to Argentina it felt like mourning

The following is something I’ve been thinking about quite a lot. I’m sure I’ll get a bit of grief from the lads for putting it out there, but here goes anyway!
Recently I’ve realised that, conservatively, we’re sitting on 160 skills coaches and not utilising them /1
Little glimpse of what wearing the jersey meant to CJ. Outstanding work rate, and carried and tackled relentlessly. Thoroughly decent human being too, will be missed on and off the pitch
Dear
@FreeNow_IE
, when I prebook a taxi for a specific time I expect the taxi to be at that time. Having a driver accept the booking with an arrival time 20 minutes after the original time, and then charging me €5 for the privilege of cancelling makes the customer irate
Always sad to see a prop retire before the age of 38, but what a career this man has had! A man I'm lucky to call a friend, and it was a privilege to be there for some of his career. Happy trails Jack, best is yet to come.
Despite the dodgy hair,
@QuinnRoux
adds a massive amount of ballast when he's behind you. Got winded by him once when he was at Leinster because he threw me into the scrum machine so hard

Couple of things wrong here.
1. Baird is signalling the ball is in, not the "swing"
2. If a "swing" is called, the back row have nothing to do with it. Any shenanigans are decided by the front row pre scrum, the back 5 need to just shut up and push.
Baird calls the swing by banging the ground. Porter driving inwards is a gimmick to allow the back five to swing around trying to deceive the ref. Ala'alatoa tries to pull Loughman round with him. Jager stays strong and keeps the angle straight to expose the runaround.
One of life's underrated joys is introducing your kids to the classics, in this case Father Ted. My eldest has just devoured the first season in one sitting
I took up Brazilian jiu-jitsu a couple of months ago thanks to an inebriated conversation. Really glad I did, it's an amazing sport and helped to fill a rugby shaped hole that's been there for a while. Tonight I took the first step on a long ladder, look forward to the journey
Superb reaction from the crowd to this, and so well deserved. Earlsy is one of those guys who everyone instinctively likes, delighted to see him hit the hundred
I'm a simple man, someone sends me free pizza and Guinness then I'm going to tweet about it. So many thanks to the cunning marketing people from
@TheDoughBros
and
@GuinnessIreland
for the badly needed calories! Nice socks too...
France just too good. Commiserations to the lads, been a very tough couple of weeks but they've represented their country extremely well.

Dug this beauty out of the archives ahead of the trip tomorrow! Sad to say it's aged a lot better than its wearer. All the weight seems to have slipped down from the shoulders to the torso unfortunately so it'll have to stay at home

Really looking forward to seeing
@ProperChurch
making his 100th appearance later on. Couldn't ask for a better team-mate and friend. It's been a hard road at times, and it's a testament to his character what he's achieved. Hopefully the parish will be celebrating again tonight!
Gutted by the result, but you can't write a team like England off. Will likely still claim the title but a good reminder that sometimes it's just not your day.
