I never in a million years thought I’d be taking my 7 kids to their father’s funeral. Hug your loved ones. I thought this picture with their uncles was especially heartbreaking, as was the road to the cemetery lined with family and friends who couldn’t attend the memorial. ❤️

The facts: @LDSchurch counsel advised a bishop he COULD NOT report ongoing rape of a 5-yr old. Highest church leadership knows what counsel is advising. He started the ongoing rape of a 6-week old. He filmed it and distributed it. The rape of these children went on for 7 years.

A Utah Supreme Court Justice just suggested that good cause for requesting an electronic appearance/argument could be that you have childcare issues that day and need to step into your home office for the argument. Having women in top spots is invaluable.

Driving past the closed elementary school all I can think about is the elderly crossing guard and other hourly employees. Are they getting paid this week? Is the only protection they’re getting from the Legislature the ability to not wear a mask? He can’t buy groceries with that.

I get tithing. I get faith. I even get exercises in futility. But when I’m struggling to pay the mortgage and make ends meet w/out CS, and ends won’t meet, at Christmas time for my 7 kids and I think of the 6-months’ worth I just sent to the church I get this pit in my stomach.

I’d like to see the Legislature’s data that parents support HB215. The School Board opposes it. It’s being rammed through so fast the legislators haven’t had time to receive comments from their constituents. Parents support it? Prove it.

I think those who talk about Utah being "family centered" should be careful with associating that idea and those principles with women choosing to stay home vs. working. Working women are also "family centered," which is probably why they're working in the first place.

Sometimes I wish school PTAs would just periodically ask for $ donations - Venmo is super convenient. Much better than a restaurant fundraiser where I spend $70 at the restaurant and the school gets $15 when I could have donated $20, cooked at home, and saved $50.

Lehi, this is bad. If your argument against wearing a mask is “liberty” (yes I’m putting it in quotes) and then you turn around and force someone else to take a mask off then you’re a hypocrite. It’s plain to see that liberty isn’t your ideal after all. But we already knew that.

My daughter just received word she received a scholarship that covers everything after the FAFSA Family Contribution (😬) to a university of her choice. A spark of hope in her bleak world. Although it probably means she won’t choose BYU and I don’t know what to think of that.

Was just remembering the time @kslnewsradio asked me to be a regular substitute host on their afternoon news program. I asked what the compensation was. They said nobody had ever asked that, and they would get back to me. They never got back to me.

There are few attacks on religious freedom. Freedom does not protect you from ridicule. It does not include as a subset speech, assembly, or other rights. They are all separate and individual freedoms, and will sometimes be in opposition. The Const doesn’t put one above another.

Have you checked out @ErinRiderUtah yet? She’s challenging Chris Stewart in Utah’s 2nd cong district. It’s the first time he’s been in a R primary AND HE’S BARELY EVEN CAMPAIGNING. She has out-raised him. She’s out talking to people. And she’s reasonable. I’m in.

Well that’s good. Also, there’s no such thing as Congress certifying election results. That’s not how it works. A representative can object to counting the electoral votes, which have already been certified by each state, but Congress certifies nothing. They count.
