Zero tolerance for what's happening in Coolock. No one is forced into setting a building on fire. It isn't the natural result of "not being listened to". Setting fire to public property, screaming at migrants and abusing the Gardaí is not 'patriotic' behaviour.

Only 2 weeks ago it was reported that 39 children were missing from state care and that these vulnerable kids were at risk of being victims of human trafficking. I think this might have a bit more to do with O'Gorman's unpopularity as the Minister for Children.

They sang me Happy Birthday before the day was out! It was a truly memorable day and regardless of what happens at the recheck tomorrow it's been incredible to see the wave of support I've received in what has been a very short, two month campaign! GRMA 🇮🇪 @AontuIE

Thank you for all your support throughout the election! It's heartening to see how we can have differing opinions but still find common ground in our shared humanity & desire to improve society. A big thanks to @JamesStokesSF for his wonderful kindness throughout the 5 counts!

@jennymaguir You can try disqualify the pro-life position by trying to group everyone into narrow categories but it's just not true. There was thousands out today to stand up for the most basic human right and they were a group with various backgrounds united in their shared respect for life!

Hardly a zero tolerance culture. More weight seems to have been given to the perpetrator's future career prospects within the army than the brutal damage he inflicted on Natasha. #violenceagainstwomen is tolerated.

“Two to put her down. Two to put her out.” Cathal Crotty bragged on social media after brutally beating Natasha O’Brien unconscious. This horrendous case calls into question whether Ireland is serious about zero tolerance of violence against women.

Just as it's right to condemn the assassination attempt on Trump so too should we condemn violent protest within our own country. Violence is an affront against democracy.

The people in Newbridge have waited far too long for the extension of the short hop zone and for it to be delayed again is unacceptable. There's no point telling people to use public transport when the cost is prohibitive for so many. @Dept_Transport @EamonRyan

@AbolishDirect It's been heartbreaking to see how property owners are profiting while the rights and needs of refugees are virtually ignored. Our migration system is incredibly broken and abolishing dp should be a no.1 priority in ensuring people recieve basic human rights.

@ChrisPenderKE Chris, I was incredibly upset when I saw this comment. No one should recieve abuse after putting up a pregnancy announcement- something that should be greeted with joy regardless of political beliefs. I wish Holly the best and commend her for speaking out about her miscarriages.

Anytime there's an artist who's popular predominantly with women we see these 'take downs' of them. Just a quick search through @newsweek past articles and it's no surprise to see that they don't condemn male artists nearly as quickly as female ones. 1/

@AnCainneach @jennymaguir Exactly this! I do think that a clear distinction needs to be made between being prolife and being anti-abortion. If you support the dehumanisation of any group of people based on race, sexual orientation, religion, etc then you are not pro-life.

We love to see 'objective' reporting on abusive men with no moralising language as to whether they're a good role model or not. No woman owes it to the world to get married. Let's not demonise those who don't. We also don't know what anyone's personal circumstances are. 3/

If you want to tier rank artists in terms of whether they're a good role model or not then go ahead but sexual assault definitely seems worse than being unmarried. Just in case you're unsure @newsweek .

Taylor Swift is bad role model because she's not married and doesn't have children but Anthony Kiedis doesn't face the same condemnation. He may have been convicted of sexual assault and battery but that doesn't mean he's not a cool role model for young men. 2/

Women don't have to get married or have children to 'earn' their value. According to @newsweek I won't be a good role model for women until I get married. Better go tell my sisters before they fall victim to my wayward lifestyle. #misogyny
