Note: If the Capture button somehow ends up being a Pro-exclusive (which it shouldn’t be), then it’s just another case of upselling. The button itself was created with the entire 16 range in mind, and has appeared on base model iPhone 16 prototypes.

They also considered an iPhone 16 derivative for the Ghost project, but it doesn’t look like that led to anything, as far as I can tell. The 14-type design, on the other hand, went thru multiple design variations. They tested five different camera bump designs for the backplate.

About iPhone Ultra - I still don’t think that’s a thing, given that there is no fifth iPhone in the 16 range, no D95 or anything similar as far as I’m aware. If it ever does happen - it’ll probably be just a rebrand for marketing purposes.

Apple keeps adding more and more info about the mysterious Passthrough feature in the Music app. With beta 2 they renamed it to "HDMI Passthrough" Apparently it's for connecting your Mac to a receiver and playing Dolby Atmos The "extra" info should've been there from the start
