The entire MIC community is heartbroken and shocked to the core to hear of the tragic and senseless killing of Ashling Murphy who graduated from MIC only three months ago. Our heartfelt sympathy go out to her family, friends, colleagues and pupils. RIP Ashling.
On the UN Day for People with Disabilities, it was wonderful to hear our inaugural alumni recipient Sinéad Burke speak about the positive impact her teachers had in nurturing her ambition to become a teacher. Sinéad gave a masterclass on how to communicate who you are with pride.

We were delighted to welcome a delegation from the Education Committee of the Flemish Parliament to Marino Institute of Education. There were lots of rich and fruitful conversations - and we look forward to continuing our dialogue!
The orientation and induction programme for all first years on ., B.Ed. (English-medium and trí mheán na Gaeilge), will proceed as planned in the week beginning 21 September. The induction sessions will be staggered and facilitated in small groups.
Following Government advice in relation to preventing the spread of COVID-19, and aligning with the directive that all on-site activities be minimised, all classes at MIE will be on line for the three weeks from 21 September 2020 to 11 October 2020.
