I voted Remain, but I don't want a second vote. Democracy depends on "loser's consent". If Remainers don't accept the first #EUref why should Leavers accept a second? It would further erode trust in our institutions, and it was a lack of trust that got us into this mess.

I live alone in a 52sqm flat and haven't interacted with anyone in person for 54 days. I'm tired of reading that all I need to do is keep routine, eat well and take a walk every day. Those are the functions that shut down first. It's like blithely advising anorexics to 'eat up'.

SNP cllrs just voted to kick the two Tories out of the Edinburgh council administration. For the second year running, Labour voted for them to stay. Labour were voted in by the Tories; their budgets pass with the votes of the Tories. The city's tawdry Labour-Tory deal continues.

My mum died on April 29th. At lunchtime we interred her ashes in the Vale of Leven cemetery. She rests alongside my dad, her husband of 53 years. Today would have been her 75th birthday. She was and did too much for a single tweet to ever do justice to it all.
