If you want to look for election meddling you don't have to look outside your own city. One recent example is the campaign of Tulsi Gabbard. Gabbard was touted as "longshot" by the mainstream media when she entered the race.

There are lots of things that are currently scheduled incorrectly. Most schedule I drugs have medicinal potential and a number of them have low potential for abuse.... for example... LSD, cannabis, MDMA, psilocybin, and peyote.

As with many things involving government, I simply don't think that occupational licensing does what people think that it does. I worked financial crimes and dealt with many cases of fraud. Most of them involved criminals licensed by the state.

A legislative meeting regarding House File 240 (bill to decriminalize psilocybin and psilocyn) is scheduled for tomorrow 2/28/2023 at 12:15 PM in Room 103 of the Iowa State Capitol. Meeting attendees will be able to speak directly to legislators about decriminalizing psilocybin.
