ZACH MEANS-Second Base. Zach was the starting 2B for the Miners. Solid left handed bat and great speed. Swung the bat well to start the season. Means has been accepted to Nevada and has a 3.75 gpa. Zach wants to be a fire fighter and potentially a physicians assistant. Good luck!

NICK MARTIN-Pitcher, 1B/3B. Nick was going to be a key man in the Miner bullpen this year. Had two impressive shutout relief appearances to start the season. Has 3.2 Gpa, heading to Hawaii Pacific. Wants to play baseball there and become a physical therapist. Good kid!!!

Logan Pruski followed up last week’s no hitter with a perfect game, k’ing 12 and also going 4-4 with 3 2B and 7 RBI in a win over Haileyville Oklahoma. Aidan Long was 2-3 w a run and a RBI. Preston Travers and Takeo Cervantez each scored 2 runs and drove in one for the Miners.

Jack Masterson was masterful😂 in a 6-0 win over Bend Oregon in the 1st game of the Pride Classic in Phoenix Arizona. Masterson went 6 innings, striking out 4 and allowing only 3 hits. Sophs Drew Scolari and Seth McGrath had 2 hits each for Bishop Manogue.

That Seth McGrath guy had 4 hits, including 2 doubles to lead the Miners in their scrimmage today. Aiden Brouhard stayed hot with 3 hits. Luke Metzker and Sammy Kane combined to go 8 innings, striking out 13 and allowing 2 hits. Season starts Saturday in a DH against Douglas!!

DOMENIC WILLIAMS-Outfielder/Pitcher-Dom was the starting left fielder and a starting pitcher for the Miners. Worked hard to become a very good player. DW has a 3.75 GPA and will attend Nevada to study business, accounting and information systems. Great young man, will be missed!!

KEENAN DOLAN tossed 5 perfect innings, k’ing 7 in a 10-0 win over Reed. Cinco Guillen hit a 2-run double and made 3 great defensive plays to preserve the gem. Rylan Martyka and Preston Travers both had 2 RBI. Holden Rowan and Dolan each had RBI doubles. Cian Stack added an RBI.

The Miners got a dominating pitching performance from Tanner Hail to finish off the sweep with a 13-5 win over Douglas. Hail threw 4 perfect innings of relief, k’ing 7. Drew Scolari, Seth McGrath, Sam Kane and Luke Metzker had 2 hits a piece. McGrath and Metzker had 3 RBI each.

5A NORTHERN LEAGUE CHAMPS! Sam Kane and Takeo Cervantez led the Miners to a 5-2 win over Reno. Kane was 2-4 w 2 RBI and Cervantez picked up the V w 5 solid innings. Tanner Hail was 2-2 w an RBI and a sac. Rylan Martyka was 2-3 with a double. BM improves to 13-3 and 23-7.

Miners season ended yesterday with 14-6 loss to Las Vegas in the state tourney. Jack Weise, TJ Czyz and Drew Scolari each had 2 hits. Josh Rolling chipped in with a 2 run double. Great season boys! You will be missed but not forgotten. On to bigger and better things seniors!!
