So me and my friends actually watched Strawinsky and the Mysterious House, and it's real fucking weird, the glob has a deep lore and turns into a flesh eagle and shit and the final boss is super easy. 10/10 simply delightful. also making my own glob oc #Globgogabgalab

I found this eagle nest directly above a popular walking path, I heard eagles won't nest close to human activity, but this pair doesn't seem too bothered. I watched probably 30 people walk by and none of them noticed the eagle right above them

I also wrote some super sauce code that automatically orients the body feathers to make a smooth surface, so the combing part of the groom took like 30 minutes, and exactly 133 brush strokes. before and after:

@JoannaKobierska @BartekMoniewski here it is straight from the solver, scales grow and subdivide until they get close enough to another scale, while following the skin mesh. it's all done in VEX nodes which are multi-threaded, takes about 8 seconds and produces 473,602 points

@PSTPtheDragon I think for games it's a mix of that and game engine limitations, for general 3d it's purely lack of research and/or budget.
