Friends! AMAZING NEWS! The Vet did a follow-up blood test, to check my kidneys, and the test came back COMPLETELY NORMAL! The Vet was surprised and so were we! My high enzymes must have been solely due to a bad Kidney Infection. Mum says we’ll have a Celebration Dinner today! 🎉

[Thread] 1. Chums! We just can’t believe it. Malcy’s surgery went very well and the Surgeon said he should come home last night. Despite having had 3 teeth removed, all he wanted to do was eat. Put your sound on and listen to him purring! He was SO HAPPY…

Chums! I’m doing well in my Nursing Duties. I gave Mr Snake to Malcy to cuddle and he’s using him as a Pillow. Then I spotted the Best Thing. Malcy started moving his Tail again, like he always used to, to express himself. He hadn’t moved it for ages. This is a Good Sign ❤️

Chums! Malcy came home. He has been through a lot and he isn’t very strong, or very happy. I got a bit upset because it took him a long time to come out of the catbox and settle. His leg is sore from the IV. Poor Malcy. I promise I will look after him as best I can.

Chums! BD here. We had a phone call to say that Malcy’s Operations on his Jaw and his Hip went well! He also had a Tooth wired back into place. We will find out more this morning so I will update you later. It was so hot last night that Mum gave me my own fan. ❤️love to you all❤️

[Thread] 1. Chums! Thank you so much for all your good wishes yesterday. Malcy’s kidney results were not bad. He does have some kidney disease but nowhere near as bad as it looked when his jaw was wired. We have to manage it with a special diet from the Vet.

Chums! I’m feeling a bit sad now that Malcy is away at the Vet Hospital again. The GOOD NEWS is that he has begun to eat some food, so no nasal tube inserted, BUT he’s not eating enough yet. The Vet is monitoring him carefully and the encouragement to eat and drink continues ❤️

Chums! We are in the final two weeks of Malcy’s jaw being wired, but this feels like a tough point. Malcy is frustrated and starting to scratch his mouth a bit, as if trying to remove the wire. He can’t wear a Cone because of the Feeding Tube. Mum is trying hard to keep him calm.

Chums! Malcy is doing very well (thanks to my Nursing Skills) so Dad said I deserved a few hours Off Duty. He took me to the Beach with my friend, Trixie. I really let my fur down and had a great time. My batteries are recharged and I’m ready for a full day of Nursing today ❤️

Chums! Mum says today is the #Equinox so we get exactly 12 hours of Day and 12 hours of Night. It makes no difference to us as we sleep Day AND Night. Malcy sleeps more than he used to, as he recovers his Strength, so I (of course) stay right by his side ❤️

Friends! I got in Trouble! I wanted to prove I can still do Impressive Jumps, and so I jumped up on top of the Wardrobe. But then I realised my hip isn’t strong enough for me to Jump Down again. I was Stuck for a long time. I didn’t want to be rescued because it hurt my pride 😾

[Thread] 1. Hello, everyone, it’s Mum here. I’m afraid I have bad news. I spent the day taking care of Malcolm at home yesterday, and my instincts told me something was wrong. I took him back to the vet last night and they ran blood tests which showed he has some kidney disease.

[Thread] 1/ Chums! Malcy’s check-up went very well yesterday. The stiches were taken out of his hip and the Vet said that his wound has healed perfectly. Now he is allowed to move around one room, rather than staying in the crate all the time…
