I now offer a custom BattleTech unit service on Ko-Fi! Ever wanted your own unit but don't know how to make it a reality? Now I can do all the work for you! (Non-canon units only due to copyright.)
It will include a record sheet, alpha strike card, STL file and optional art.
I usually don't do anything for my birthday but my favorite local shop had this gem for $20 so I had to grab it. Has all the components and everything, too.
I'm not sure why CGL doesn't seem to offer a 'complete' version of their wallpapers, but I glued these two together to form the full picture, so here it is for your convenience for anyone else that wants it.
(From the Mercenaries Kickstarter - Eridani Light Horse)
Anyone else remember Micro Machines? CGL should bring that back, make tiny sized Mechs and combat vehicles. Then you could buy a whole regiment relatively cheap compared to the standard size, and still have tons of fun!
...I miss micro machines, lol.
I don't have a lot of classic BattleTech goodies because, well, I typically can't afford the OOP prices. But I found this mixed in with old books at a local thrift store for $10. It's in great shape too.
*General Grievous voice.* This will make a fine addition to my collection!
BattleTech March Madness - Champion
Well, it's no real surprise I suppose but by a margin of 22%, the Marauder is your official BattleTech March Madness Champion.

Someone mentioned how expensive the Mad Cat was the other day and it made me think of this thing I made a while ago.
@BishopSteiner
, eat your heart out.
You people uh... You do know that the SHD-2D model of the Shadow Hawk has roughly the same armor as a Locust, right?
I mean to each their own, but just saying. I never expected it to win, or by such a wide margin. 🤣
The votes are in and this will be the focus of the next tournament and will include units from the Great House and Republic of the Sphere 3145 books as well.
I'm excited as I think it will give fans a chance to see units they might otherwise have not paid much attention to.
Just came across this...erm, let's say interesting, piece of old BattleTech art. Behold, the 8th Director-General of the Terran Hegemony, Jacob Cameron.
From the 1988 Star League sourcebook, the art is by Todd F. Marsh.
One of a few memes I've made combining my love of BattleTech and The Princess Bride. Enjoy! (And yes, I'll share the others later for my fellow Dread Pirates.)
I don't often bring it up but I am indeed a queer woman. Lesbian-leaning but I often just use gay or queer. I am cis but I am no terf; I fully support our trans allies as well. So happy Pride from the Magistracy, where everyone is free to be themselves. (And gamble pantsless.)
Calling All Creatives & BattleTech Fans
For those that don't know, I produce a monthly fanzine called Magistracy Monthly. It's a BattleTech fan publication that patrons get first access to, though after a period of exclusivity, it becomes free for everyone to enjoy it.
I always hear talk of 3e and 5e in my D&D circles but the period when 4e was around is when I wasn't playing at all. Why does no one ever discuss that period? Was it like... Just that bad or just not longlasting?
Debated for a while if I was going to post this or not but after seeing some friends post about their struggles, I decided to.
Just know if you want to lose weight and be healthier, you can. You don't need any fads or extreme measures. Eat a little less, exercise a little more.
Recently saw someone post a "BattleTech is For Everyone" image. (I can't remember who or I'd credit them, sorry.) But it made me remember that I made one a while ago; November of 2020, according to my file date. So here's my simple rendition of that.
Technical Readout 3025 has concluded and with 52% of the vote, the original Marauder MAD-3R is your champion.
Thanks to evertone who participated, and I hope you enjoyed it. I plan on doing more TRO tourneys in the future, so stay tuned!

Duncan Fisher, with the amazingly talented
@GLedouxVoiceovr
as the official voice of Solaris 7 returns for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries next DLC!
Did you know he's also the voice of Magistracy Monthly? Duncan Fisher cannot be stopped!
Now available absolutely free. This labor of love by myself and my artist
@Oswald81288433
includes over 120 'Mechs and combat vehicles from every era of BattleTech. I hope you enjoy it.

More D&D opinions time!
If I were to find time to get back into it seriously, should I stick to the tried and true 3e, 3.5e or embrace the newer 5e? Please feel free to explain your votes in the replies.
As a result of the poll, I have made an Orion II. With art thanks to
@Oswald81288433
, here's what I came up with for it. Because it won by such a small margin, I'm also working on a Kintaro II and will get that up when it's finished. Anywho, here's what I've got for this one:
As the BattleTech universe continues pushing forward, the law of infinite probability means that eventually, there will be a Magestrix Riley Centrella of the Magistracy of Canopus. Somewhere, eons in the future, I will finally be canon.
...hey, a girl can dream.
This area of space, spinward of the Raven Alliance, has been abandoned since the middling years of the First Succession War. I find this highly suspicious. What's out there? Or what will come and claim this space? I bet
@BishopSteiner
knows, somehow. 🤔
Dear
@BishopSteiner
, please make a new official design of this thing already. It's one of my favorite mediums ever and it's so hard to look at. Please and thank you.
I've learned asking about D&D opinions sets off fire(ball)s more than BattleTech polls. Let's do it again anyway!
Which class are you rolling with out of these options?
(Please don't do the whole "this instead" thing. Twitter only gives four option slots. Just play along.)
So I know most of my followers are from the BattleTech crowd but I'm curious - what are some other fandoms you're a part of? Let me know at least five! (If you have that many.) I'll start.
1. Firefly/Serenity
2. Star Wars
3. Cyberpunk
4. D&D/Pathfinder
5. Farscape
Do you like writing BattleTech fiction? Did you submit a story to Shrapnel that never got published? Magistracy Monthly would love to have your stories! One-off short stories or even serial pieces published monthly. Even non-fiction about your BT experiences would be great.
Since I'm fairly new to the Twitterverse, I figure the followers I've gained so far might not know, but my one real claim to fame so far has been my tabletop campaign conversion of Harebrained Schemes' 2018 BattleTech Restoration Campaign.
BattleTech Stories I want to find the time to write:
1. A young woman fighting for survival during the Kentares Massacre.
2. A crew member's experience aboard the Outbound Light during its fateful final jump.
3. A Diamond Shark warrior-merchant's adventures in the Magistracy.
New BattleTech story idea: A pilot named Dante is assigned UrbanMech duty to protect his small town on a usually quiet planet when a foreign invasion force arrives. And Dante isn't even supposed to be there that day.
Saved up enough for some salvage. Had good pulls, too. On the heavy side but that's not a bad thing. Interestingly, enough for a Star and a lance.
Nova Cat, Kodiak, Kingfisher, Nova and Stone Rhino for clan. Archer, King Crab, Flashman and Black Knight for Inner Sphere.
So, do we ever think it's actually going to be called Twitter again or are we doomed with "X" forever?
I still call it Twitter either way but y'know, just curious.
New to the Twitterverse, not sure exactly what all I'll use it for yet. Probably memes, selfies, Patreon updates. One thing you definitely won't ever find here is drama or politics. BattleTech though? Definitely yes.
Be excellent to each other, MechWarriors. 🤘💜
I'd really like to read this book, but it's apparently been out of print for so long it's a collector's item now, and every copy I can find online is $100 or more. It's also not available digitally on Kindle. Anyone know of any other way to get it?
