Excited to share I’ll be joining the SFM family as the next Head Groundskeeper for
@FAUBaseball
. This new opportunity in south Florida is going to bring a list of new challenges for me, but I am excited to get started down there soon.
Our 2023 home schedule ended last night for us here in DC. 80 games, 62 tarp pulls, 2 full field flooring covers, and a staff of 40 that executed everything to the fullest. I’m very blessed to be able to say I work with the best grounds crew in baseball. Here’s to the off season!

Dodged a bullet with the worst of Milton staying just to our north, but still battled the tornadoes yesterday and 30mph sustained winds today. Crew crushed it again, ready for N Texas and

My time with the
@Nationals
has come to an end. I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity I had, the relationships I built, and the lessons I learned throughout my 4 seasons in DC. As one book closes, another one opens. Here’s to the next chapter
12th and final homestand has arrived, this one came with a twist. 46 hours from Elton John to first pitch, sod install finished at 6am this morning. It is nice to see the finish line after 5 straight road trips with a concert to end the season
This week completed my 2021 baseball season. 109 games worked across 4 different states made this a challenging year, but I could not be more thankful to have had the opportunities I did. Here’s to a well needed off season!
Week 3, home game 2
We’ve healed up nicely with back to back weeks playing at home. 4.5” of rain over the last couple days, but still had time to get this one complete. Shula Bowl with

Week 5
Home game 3
A very wet September with almost 20” of rain on campus, plus hurricane Helene moving through, has created a lot of challenges for us this week. Painting in 50 mph winds is not ideal, but we are ready to go for

Saturday night
Our 5th home stand brought us 11 games in 10 days, along with our first number retirement in Nationals history. The field is holding up well, but definitely has some wear. Following tomorrow’s game, we’ll begin the build for Wednesday’s concert, our first of 5 shows this season
Networking in our industry is one of the most important pieces to having a successful career. Yesterday I was able to see the crew at Citi Field transitioning from baseball to soccer. The field looks great! Thanks again

Connor made a huge impact on our staff starting on day 1 and has greatly improved his skills all summer. Not only is he a tremendous worker, he has a great attitude every day and goes above and beyond what is asked. I’m looking forward to seeing his career unfold
@connor_brown_1
Finished off the 2022 season in style, getting 4 games in 3 days played while Hurricane Ian moved through. While it rained the entire time, our crew was able to handle it and keep the field in playable condition the entire time. We appreciate the support
@Nationals
!
Day 1 of our concert prep is complete here at Nationals Park. 24 hours since the last out was made, a lot of moving parts to get us this far. Showtime in just under 48 hours
Everyone is gonna say how Georgia was overrated and never should’ve been
#1
. If they would’ve won this game, everyone would say how Georgia is a legit contender. Too many bandwagon fans, not enough people true to their word. Dawg till I die
Bryce immediately made an impact on our staff on day 1, and he kept that going all summer. His work was top notch, and he was dependable and consistent the entire time he was with us. He is going to make a hell of an assistant for someone soon, and we are certainly gonna miss him
Finished my internship with the Washington Nationals this past Saturday. Thank you to everyone on the staff for an amazing summer. Grateful for all of the early mornings and late nights spent here this summer.
Got to enjoy one last weekend with my guys
@BaseballUGA
in Chapel Hill, playing on one of the nicest fields in the country. Really appreciate the hospitality from

and
@Tar_Heels_Turf
, thanks again for having me!

Groundskeeper here, the field is safe. This is a very common thing to have in season at NFL stadiums. The grounds crew there is some of the best in the country, they are not the issue. Blame the people that book concerts and other non sporting events in season on the field.
Fulfilled a life dream of mine to watch
@GeorgiaFootball
win a national championship on Monday, could not be anymore grateful to have been there to witness it!

Zach came in this summer and immediately made a positive impact on our crew. From the first day, he was eager to learn and get better every single day. He played an important role on our staff, and we will certainly miss having him. Looking forward to your future buddy!
Finished my internship with the Washington Nationals with a win over the Cubs last night , I can’t thank John, Cam,
@MWadsworth22
, Luke and the other Interns for an unbelievable summer. Lot of sweat and more blood than I’d like were shed over the summer. Till next time
@Nationals
