Travel ball fees $900 a yr. Hotels $2000 a yr. Gas $ to practice/games $800-1200 a yr. Entry to tournaments $350-500 a yr. Now add that up over 4yrs. Yet, I still 👀lazy kids disrespecting the sacrifice your parents are making. #2019 ⏳

Watched several teams in Indianapolis this weekend. $50 per adult for the weekend to get in. $150-225 a night for hotel. Depending on how far you drove $100-300 for gas 💰. Food/entertainment. Kids giving half ass effort when your parents are willing to sacrifice so much is crazy

Always respect the "INVESTMENT" your parents are making. AAU/Travel ball is expensive. Gas, Hotels, fees, training, entry @ tournaments. Never disrespect that love with a lazy effort in practice or games. Parents are spending thousands a year to feed your dreams.

I will NOT lie to college coaches to sell a kid. So if your child has a bad attitude, poor work ethic, bad body language, can't listen & follow directions, always late or misses practice you should find other options. Me lying will hurt the kids after them that truly get it.

Club/AAU Basketball is in bad shape. You have pedophiles/groomers, con men, handlers & grown men that didn't make it living their lives thru kids. Kids and parents fighting refs. Now parents are shooting coaches over playing time & shots. Kids are a reflection of the parents

Don't allow some coach/parent/fan to fill your head up with BS & pass up an opportunity to play at the Div 2 level. The goal is to graduate debt free. Hearing a lot of nonsense from adults still paying off student loans. Respect everyone's grind

One of the absolute worse things in basketball is social media. Kids/PARENTS 👀others get write ups/trophies or offers. Then jealousy sets in. Focus on how to improve not what others have going on.

I would love to see AAU/Club tournaments have refs sit a game after they ref 2. Once you get later in the day refs on their 5th or 6th games get tired. Many don't come across half court. Tempers flare up with parents & coaches due to non calls.

If you don't understand the game as a parent please just get gatorade/water, yell BOX out, swing it, good job, DEFENSE or.....STFU!! The amount of ignorance on the sidelines is crazy. Kids don't need to shoot EVERYTIME they touch the ball. I can only imagine the car ride home.

There is a young lady in our program that will graduate HS with 67 college credit hrs that all transfer towards her degree. She will only need 52 credit hrs(18 courses) to get her sports psychology bachelors. Several kids in our program on this path. #biggerthanbasketball

The game isn't always a fast break. Against the better teams it slows down. If your kid can't run a set, create or make a shot, DEFEND &/or backs down from physical play. Parents do you realistically expect a coach to play them? Especially late in close games #pickupyofeelings

Winning a bunch of games & trophies in 4th-8th grade means nothing as the kids get older. The good young teams will not look the same. Teams will be picked apart/absorbed by EYBL, UAA, Adidas or 💰. That being said we don't own these kids. Don't hate if they move on.

We don't own these kids!! If a kid leaves your program get out of your feelings & still support them. Many families have life issues to deal w/ not just hoop. Had several kids move on to other programs & they still train/trained with us. Do what's best for your situation.

If a kid comes into AAU/Club season with bad grades don't blame the AAU scene. HS coaches get them from Sept-Feb. Where we're the study halls, tutors, grade checks & parent involvement? So many hate AAU scene but there are many factors that go into a child's success or failure.

The most interesting thing to watch @ practice is the lack of communication. Ask kids to talk on D, call for the ball, show leadership at PG position you get silence. The sec practice ends same kids talk non stop. Real PG's need to be respected not worried about who likes you

Analytics has turned basketball into pick up. Hard to watch a 3 point shooting contest. True post players need to eat. Mid range game is non existent. Shoot 1st PG's suck. So called stretch 4's. End of the day champions play old school basketball. Watch final 4 men's & women

My Finneytown girls got a chance to bond & watch the NKU women play tonight. Most of them have never seen a college campus let alone a game in person. People worried about building hoopers we're trying to open their minds to other possibilities. Thanks @CoachParker_NKU
