Past midnight UTC, and we can look back on the first major OP Chain fee spike Post-4844: - Base saw a rush of activity from transactors that were ~seemingly not fee sensitive. - When L2 congestion pricing kicked in, activity didn't start to decline until L2 gas hit 4 gwei (!?!)

If you're using Base on a non-Coinbase Wallet wallet, watch out for bad/high priority fee recommendations. You don't need a 1.5 gwei priority fee (I did 0.001). About 41% of transactions are paying fees that are too high!

What's even more mind-bending is when you look at who some of the whales actually are. Some are legitimate whales, but the DAI vault's largest holder is @AlchemixFi (76% of TVL) and WBTC's is @BadgerDAO (91%), which are themselves collections of more individual participants.

Our Superchain Dashboard just delivered its first day of Blob data: - 1.9M Transactions per day, 6.9M Gas per second across 4 OP Chains (Base, OP Mainnet, Mode, Zora) - As data costs (and user fees) went towards 0, chain revenue sources flipped from L1 Data to L2 Priority Fees.

I think a better measure than “transactions” for chain usage is ~“app actions.” Take transactions, then remove token approvals, transfers, failed txs, “self” txs, prob more things. If apps are the value prop, then we should focus on that vs other things that stuff tx counts.
