Here is the link to these grids for each area of science in KS1 and KS2. Feel free to use or magpie so that you can add your own vocabulary words for other subjects. :-)
Just making these for each area of science in KS1 and KS2. For children to colour code before and during the unit. I will share them all when I'm finished.
The caretaker had a massive box he was throwing out today. Of course I knew EXACTLY what I wanted it for and made a class photo! (Not finished yet, but already happy with how fab it looks! A nice socially distanced end of year photo gift!)
At break time today, my Yr5 class suddenly fell on the floor. Then they did it again. Then I realised one of them was randomly shouting 'Andy's Coming" and they were pretending to be in Toy Story. 🤣
If anyone wants a copy,I have mapped out the assembly themes for the next academic year to ensure SMSC coverage. It has the theme days/religious days & key dates such as antibullying wk,safer internet day etc. Here is the link if anyone wants to use it.
My little baby is 17wks old today. After suffering a neonatal stroke at birth, being starved of oxygen for a while,we had the all clear on his MRI last month this wk he was finally discharged from physio as he is showing no signs of any problems! He's perfectly healthy! So relieved!
It's been a whole year since I made my box for the children to stand on. We used it when reading out work, or telling the class something. The children loved using it!
I didn't know these were a thing! Bookshelf inserts! They've amazing! Would love something like this in our school library! *Starts googling bookshelf inserts*

Wish I could start a brand new school. Where I got to choose the logo and the motto and the ethos. And the uniform. And the curriculum. They should make a game like Theme Park and Theme Hospital.
Theme School. I'd play that.
I've taken all the suggestions for Life Skills Of The Week and mapped out a few ideas for the whole school year. Then added some links where I could find them.
Here is the link to the document :-)
Have no money for classroom pots this year thanks to Mat Leave pay being so rubbish. So recycling SMA tubs and using sticky back plastic! I should have been on Blue Peter 😂😂.
#thrifty
After suffering a neonatal stroke at birth, having been starved of oxygen for 6 minutes, watching him get resuscitated and transported to another hospital, this little miracle blows my mind! 5 months old, crawling, sitting on his own, feeding himself, saying Dad!

Going to have a lot of tired, disappointed children today. But will use this as an opportunity to teach them about sportsmanship, community and decorum. Maybe we can teach the next generation not to smash up the place and shout racial slurs when they lose at something.
Welcome to the world Jenson Joseph Craig, my beautiful son. He's super poorly after a traumatic labour and being cared for in Addenbrooks whilst I recover in Peterborough. But can't wait to have a first hold of him when I can get transferred to be with him. Love you little man.💙
Do you even own a teenager if they don't tell you at 9pm the day before that they need ingredients for food technology?!
Guess which teenager took himself to the village shop at 9pm!
My new favourite saying I heard this week is "Do it nice, or do it twice!"
Messy work?
Ran down the corridor?
Threw a pencil in the pot?
Works it all kinds of situations!
This is my whole school science experiment display we did around biscuits. Each year group had a different activity. Handy to show progression. Thinking of changing it to another one, maybe to do with plants this time. I will share once I plan it. 👍
Year 3 is finished! Here is the link to the Year 3, 4 and 5 science taboo cards I have made. I am still working on years 2 and 6. Feel free to share.

I put my bitmoji picture as my background today which still said I was SLT. I said to the kids "Just ignore that bit, I'm not part of SLT at the moment."
"Yes you are," one of the kids said. "It stands for Super Lovely Teacher!"
I'll take that! Thanks pal! 😍🤣
Sorry it's taken me so long, working with a 1 year old shutting your laptop lid takes ages!
Here is the link to my science resources with the Taboo game cards for years 2-6.
Feel free to use/share. There's also a vocab game in there you could 1/2
Here are the Taboo cards I made in a folder. Just Year 5 at the moment but will make the rest of school this week. Feel free to share with other Year 5 Teachers who may want it.

If you do any ocean projects, this app tracks sharks! They've all got names and you can write messages to them! I love the bit that shows the sharks journey!
My timehop today, from 2011... When my super lovely TA put this brick paper up for me, and I didn't have the heart to tell her it was the wrong way! 🤦 Bless her.
Isn't it funny how some teachers have only worked in challenging schools and some have only worked in the complete opposite. Some people have never experienced the joy from both.
Always check your resources! A few years ago I bought this beautiful key from a charity shop to use as a writing stimulus. As the children passed it round, they found its other use! 😱🤦♀️
I'm SO pleased with our

floorbooks so far. The children love to see their work displayed in them. And we think they're pretty great too!

I can't find the original document so tried to remember it. 🤦♀️👍
This is roughly what we did for the whole school biscuit experiment on the display board.
I've made my own bunting for my classroom if anyone wants a copy. You can edit the background colour. I've done letters, numerals and some punctuation in a Google slides doc. Not sure the best way to share it though. But can give it a go! 😂
Happy 3rd Birthday to my little warrior son, Jenson. From being told you might never walk, talk or learn, here you are smashing every milestone and being the most kind, loving, adventurous, clever little boy we could ever imagine. 💙
Getting towards the end of the year and we have scratched lots and lots of different countries from our class map! I didn't realise how much of the world we have talked about in lessons over the last 5 terms!
13 years worth all packed up ready for my new school tomorrow! I wish there was a company you could hire to move your school things to your new classroom! I might start one!
There's nothing more annoying than when you write questions 1-5 on a document, copy and paste them to save paper and the pasted version changes to 6-10.
Every... single...time! 🤦♀️
This lady on Instagram is so creative! Hoping to magpie this idea if I can find the right kind of stool. She has used this as a class stage for children to stand on. Love it!
My son, who had a neonatal stroke at birth, has FINALLY been discharged from consultant care! 2 years on and progressing really well. So relieved and so proud of him. ❤❤❤
Finished my step for my classroom! Got the step stool from Amazon, then painted the sides and got a sticker for it! To use when the children present to the rest of the class! So pleased with it.
I already follow some amazing people... But can you guys please recommend the best people to follow for Primary Science? Just about to have a big shake up of our curriculum so looking for inspiration! Thanks in advance! 👍
@missdcox
There's a big name on EduTwitter who leads discussions on live and does all kinds of wonderful things....who was so horrible to me at a school once that I left after just one term.Makes my blood boil when I see him dishing out advice on anti-bullying and happiness amongst staff!
@Oh_Thereslovely
Two truths, one lie ice breaker.
Don't stick to timetable.
Read everything on the PP.
Comfort break after half 10.
No refreshments.
Post it notes to take up to the flip chart.
Say "We might finish early" then don't.
Any roleplay.
Find a partner you don't normally work with
Almost finished my science week planning for school. We are exploring the theme of "Connections" by attempting to send a message from EYFS to Year 6. Starting with boats floating on a pond, morse code with light, dropping it from a parachute, and more! Super excited!
I am going to reuse my natural looking numberline again this year. I just cut up some vines to place in-between. Here is the link if anyone wants a copy.
My toddler has just puked all over himself and the bed.
Got him bathed, sorted and settled in a new bed.
Puked in that too. Poor baby.
This is my first experience of this as a Mum. I certainly wasn't prepared.
Tomorrow's first job is to organise an emergency sick bucket.
Really struggling with lockdown today. I either feel guilty for ignoring my baby when I work, or guilty for taking a work break to be with baby. Guilty for not being able to take the dog out, guilty for disturbing the other half's sleep when he's been on nights. 😔 Can't win.
I only learned the other day that if you insert an image to Google Slides, you can click the arrow next to the crop button and it will crop it into that shape! I'm making all kinds of bunting now!
After J's traumatic birth last year, I've been having EDMR therapy for PTSD. This week has been exceptionally hard with flashbacks and nightmares. But today, is one year since I was able to hold him for the first time and that's officially my favourite day ever. 💙
Got a bit upset about how boring my home learning was (We aren't allowed to do live lessons & I've been trying to fit things around the toddler). So stayed up late last night making a classroom on slides with links to things(globe takes you to Google earth etc). Not finished yet.
use to learn new words for science or any subject. They're all quite fun for staff meetings too! Especially if you place them around the room.
Please let me know if you spot any mistakes as I am bound to have missed something. 2/2
Finally had the all clear from Audiology today for Jenson's hearing! 🥳🎉🙌 He was HIE at birth, and suffered a neonatal stroke but the hearing was the final thing to get the all clear on! So relieved! 💙🌟🥰
#MyBambino
No, my gorgeous son, I do NOT want to get up at half 5 on a Saturday and play dinosaurs.
Oh... You're going to roar at me until I get up!?
Wonderful. 😒😴🥱

I left a school after a term. The deputy was mean to me and the head didn't care. I knew it wasn't right for me and that I would be unhappy working there so handed my notice in by October. When it's not right you just know. Best thing I did.
As I will be going back to work full time in September (when my baby will only be 4 months old) I have treated myself to a new Chromebook to cheer myself up!
