9 a.m., Update from MGE: Due to a fire this morning, some electric customers are out of service. The fire occurred at a substation containing equipment of MGE's and American Transmission Company. The fire is out, and damage assessment will get underway.

Updates that may impact families who have fallen behind on their MGE bills:
On March 18, the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin lifted the disconnection moratorium, which means utilities can start disconnecting customers due to nonpayment.
But:
MGE thanks first responders for their assistance in securing the area. MGE regrets any inconvenience and urges customers to seek indoor areas with air conditioning. MGE will continue to update our social media and media.
Wisconsin's largest solar project is now fully operational. MGE & We Energies are setting another milestone in delivering affordable, reliable clean energy to their customers. The final panels at the Badger Hollow Solar Farm are now in service.
