Although it ended with them tricking each other - I have to say that Davros and the Doctor talking about themselves, their pasts and even laughing together is genuinely wonderfully written and performed by Steven Moffat, Peter Capaldi and Julian Bleach. Amazing scenes!
I have no doubt that if Elisabeth Sladen was still with us, that Sarah Jane would’ve been in the 50th, met the Twelfth Doctor, turned up in Power of the Doctor and would pop into the 60th too. My queen of Doctor Who.
So, Series 12 of Doctor Who has showed me that a lot of Whovians are racist and/or homophobic (even if they say they aren’t) Series 12 keep doing what you’re doing! Piss them off even more! Thank you 🙌🏼
Steven Moffat was asked “how do you sleep at night knowing that because of you so many children couldn’t sleep at night” and I’m a bit obsessed with this bit of his answer
These two were spectacular at being 1000’s of years old. I can’t really explain why. But I feel the weight of the Doctor’s life in these two incarnations more than any other
If Piers Morgan isn’t fired for some of his comments today, then itv really is a putrid broadcasting company.
And that’s not just coz Piers is a colossal twat. Anyone who makes comments like that should be fired. I wouldn’t stand for it in my workplace, neither should they
OKAY, Chibnall era isn’t my favourite. BUT people are WAY too harsh about it. It’s still amazing. It’s still Doctor Who. Let’s spread some positivity! Tell me your favourite thing(s) about the Chibnall/Whittaker era! Go!
Unpopular opinion (maybe) but I prefer New Who Sarah Jane to her in the Classic series.
Obviously, she was an elite companion back then. But Sarah Jane having her own show, absolutely bossing it and being all our mothers was sensational! My actual Queen of Who!
“How did you create that sphere?”
“The sphere is not ours. It’s origin is unknown”
“Then what's inside it?”
“Rose is down there.”
..
“That's not Cybermen.”
“Oh, my God.”
“Location, Earth. Life forms detected. Exterminate!”
Still not over it!
These kinds of shows are my comfort when it comes to tv.
Any recommendations that have a similar vibe with always be appreciated.
They don’t make shows like these anymore 🥺
I have come to a conclusion that 10 episodes of Doctor Who is not enough to satisfy.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved series 12, but imagine having 13 episodes at the standard we’ve seen this year 🤯
My dream:
Kate Stewart: I fear this is out of our hands. We need to call in the expert.
Ruby: But the Doctor’s been taken hostage?
Kate: He’s not the expert. She is..
Enter: MARTHA JONES
Perhaps an unpopular opinion but I genuinely think the Eleventh Doctor had the most magical Christmas specials.
That fairytale vibe that this era did so well carries so beautifully into these specials. They feel like Christmas movies, and I love them all ❄️
Series 12 would’ve been so much better if Captain Jack was replaced by River Song.
River Song breaking the Doctor out of space prison is SO correct! We were robbed!
The thing I like about the Timeless Child is that it really puts the “who” back in “Doctor Who”.
The Doctor being a mystery is the character at their best, for me personally. So, the Doctor being a mystery (even to themselves) is something I greatly enjoy.
@BadWolfArchives
Midnight.
Without a Companion crutch to fall back on - he has to prove himself to a bunch of strangers. So, in a way, he’s being more like the Doctor than normal.
And then his performance when the entity takes him over. It’s just so unsettling seeing the Doctor that vulnerable
Rewatched “The Star Beast” and I find it SO funny that the Doctor is constantly like “Donna will die!” Or “I can’t kill be the one to kill her” and then in the next breath he says to her “ThIs Is A sOnIc ScReWdRiVeR” he’s so dumb
Other than the similarities all of the Doctor’s have - I really don’t get this “Jodie Whittaker is doing an impression of 10 or 11” thing some say. She’s so original to me 🤷🏼♀️
Russell T Davies wanted Benny and Bjorn of ABBA to write music for a musical episode of Torchwood. COULD THEY BE BEHIND THE (possible) MUSICAL DOCTOR WHO EPISODE?! 🤯🤯
Ncuti Gatwa singing at the unit base at Newport Stadium April 21. Sounds like ABBA's 'Dancing Queen' but I don't think he knows all the words. 😂
#DoctorWho
I will always love this scene. Seeing all those brave companions just crack with fear is EVERYTHING.
Plus, Murray’s extra score is perfection.
Daleks, man. I love them.
I have returned from a trip away to go on the hunt for some Whoniverse locations.
Here’s a thread of some of the places I saw for any of you who are interested 🥰 (maybe a video to follow?)
I adore Murray Gold. I think he’s the best composer tv has to offer. BUT for some reason - I cannot STAND his comedy tracks. I get the scenes are meant to be funny. I don’t need the clown music in the background. I become such a Scrooge when I hear them.
DO NOT CAST JAMES CORDEN IN WICKED. DO NOT CAST JAMES CORDEN IN WICKED. DO NOT CAST JAMES CORDEN IN WICKED. DO NOT CAST JAMES CORDEN IN WICKED. DO NOT CAST JAMES CORDEN IN WICKED. DO NOT CAST JAMES CORDEN IN WICKED. DO NOT CAST JAMES CORDEN IN WICKED.
I know Miracle Day has its fans and I appreciate that… BUT I can’t help but think Jack running away after the events of Children of Earth and leaving Gwen and Rhys to live an ordinary life with their baby was just the PERFECT ending for the show and it’s surviving characters…
Seen people do this, so this is mine

Working in retail and the general public, I can confidently say that majority of young people obey the guidelines. The old people never wear masks or social distance. So...
How fucking beautiful is the Doctor Who episode “A Christmas Carol” The world building is some of the best in the show. And it’s the christmassiest Christmas special EVER. And THAT SONG! 😍
I feel RTD and Moffat were really truly living their nerdy childhood dreams writing stories for Doctor Who. I’ve not quite felt that with Chibnall yet. Here’s hoping for Series 12 🤞🏼
I genuinely loved The Power of the Doctor. I cannot stop thinking about it. That was a Who movie. One of my personal favourite regeneration stories. All those glorious nods to the past. So many beautiful faces. I’m a mess but I am very happy mess. I am in love with it.
Tooth and Claw, School Reunion, Girl in the Fireplace, Rise of the Cybermen and Age of Steel are such a strong run of nostalgic neat episodes. I used to rewatch them again and again when I was younger.
People act like Chibnall is the devil. When all he’s done is taken on one of hardest jobs because he saw that opportunity and took it - like we all would! Worked during a global pandemic. And he’s opened doors to SO many people to be the best lead character on tv. Leave him be!
Rose Tyler is the mvp of “The Satan Pit” and it’s the best portrayal of that character in the entirety of Doctor Who. Billie Piper absolutely steals the show in that episode.
Do you know who is a underrated character? Miss Sands in Sex Education played by the brilliant Rakhee Thakrar. She’s a wonderful character and rarely spoken about. So, here’s an appreciation tweet!!
