GTA 5 music is interesting in that it typically adapts to what you do in game.
This is achieved by splitting up songs into "stems", allowing the game to adjust which ones are used.
The result is dynamic music, and also, this one song being 115MB on PC (or 433MB when unpacked!)
In GTA 5 the head bobbing animations to "rockout" sections of songs is synced to the BPM of the song.
Sadly, recent DLC radio tracks do not have the data defining these sections so the player never bobs to the song.

So heres some shots from the mythical trailer scripts, but on PC.
It is the less known 2nd trailer cause the first trailer has a lot of trailer-only assets that arent in the files.
During development prior to release around 2011/2012, there was a different type of approach to the Fleeca Heists: Holding up the place and taking a hostage to open up the vault

In GTA 5 (and earlier titles i think?) exiting a tunnel has a 60% chance of playing a interference sound if the radio is on and the vehicle has a flag called "MOBILE CAUSES RADIO INTERFERENCE" (Presumably, mostly low end vehicles)
The sound effect is synthesized so it varies.

Back in the days of when GTAO was Cops n Crooks (2011/2012) this vagos' area was the location of the Vagos Hideout (shocker)
Can see remnants of the interior on the inside of the building. (Continued...)
Chop was actually motion captured (according to remarks by lamar/franklins actors)
as a result in this cutscene you can see what appears to be the actor dog eating something inside the back of the van, likely was a treat to get them to hop inside.
Using a freecam you can see just how much cutscene specific lighting is done by artists to get the cutscene looking how they want
Set to nighttime to make it more visible.
might try removing all the cutscene lights to see how that looks.

Heres some zombie animations, for some reason i couldnt get the regular punch animations to use the zombie ones but the rest work. I believe the funny looking sprint animations are only used for a specific special "sprinter" zombie
The Shocker is a new melee weapon obtained through the Halloween UFO abduction event.
It will shock those you hit, and then recharge. Whilst its recharging you can still use it as a standard melee weapon.
The bail enforcement van is a modified version of a 2020 CnC vehicle.
The filename of the bail enforcement van is policet3, the cnc one is policet2.
As a result, it has a number of mods inaccessible in GTAO, including more armour levels, tech arrays (like one antenna), &ram bars.

GTA online, for better or for worse has an *immense* amount of content from all the dlcs over the years
a new gtao having to complete with just that much... it'll probably feel comparatively empty
I recently started playing through Max Payne 3, and quite liked the style of the overlaid text even if its a bit overdone in spots.
Turns out these are done with overlaid video files so i extracted all of them and put them on a site in gif/apng/webp form
The Cayo update had a crane prop with some mysterious textures... by which i mean they are named for "PBR" (Physically Based Rendering) - A more sophisticated rendering tech present in RDR2 and inevitably GTA 6.
This asset MIGHT have been ported from VI, or made by a VI artist.

Random tiny thing: When exiting planes in the air/while moving, the animations tend to transition to gameplay/ragdoll very quickly. But some of the animations go on for a bit longer and show the mocap actor roll on a crash mat or so.

This is GTA 5 but rendering only the "normal" maps.
They basically define how light should react to a surface, and can be used to make seemingly extra detail without more geometry.

With the Cluckin' Bell Raid you seemingly will able to actually be able to enter and drive a train.
Animations for a new copy of the train (with no door to the cab) exist for enter, exit, and driveby (for driver & passenger)
I suspect the actual controlling of it is scripted

idk but they sent it to me and it shows the red green blue gizmos where cut scene lights are, is fascinating to see visualized.
In the Casino Heist mission data, these weird models are placed in the locations of teleporters (but not visibly)
I have not got any amount of a clue why this model was used. or why this model exists in the first place lol
Since the Cayo Perico update, GTA Online on PC's rendered "headshots" have had an issue where they render partially transparent, making them look a bit like a ghost. This is visible in game as well as on the Rockstar Games website.
This issue is nearly 4 years old.

the waves in GTA Online are not synced, which is why rockstar makes the area around kosatka's have no waves because otherwise it'd look like this from the desync.

In GTA Online, there was going to be various activities within your apartment, including:
- Sit Ups
- Push Ups
- Teeth Brushing

The code is commented out with unrelated anims in the lines, suggesting it didnt get too far.
You might think the Grace Witney most wanted mission is using some new interiors, or atleast modified ones.
But nope, it's creatively reusing them by using new assets to block off and alter some rooms as shown here. Same for the gallery as well.
