I hate getting my photo taken but I did it last week to update my website. I also added one for my Twitter profile. No longer do I have ancient photos on social media!!!
Today, there is no art posting. I feel no joy. While a

student, I worked and lived on the Hill. I am a former prosecutor, a former state agency director, and now, a private practitioner. I believe in a nation of laws. I am angry. Today, there is no art.

! What jobs have you omitted listing on a professional resume/CV? I’ll go first: in high school and college I worked at Marshall Field’s and the Limited. Both entities are now closed.
Last night, I was tagged on multiple threads re RBG. The one that brought some solace stated that according to Jewish tradition, a person who dies on Rosh Hashanah is considered a tzaddik, a righteous one. How fitting. RBG was righteous and a woman of valor.
@RitchieTorres
Saw a post re this on FB. The poster started a campaign to pan the store as antisemitic on Yelp. I did something positive, I bought the book from somewhere else!
“Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. It shouldn’t be that women are the exception.” Assoc. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg remembered on her birthday.

Posting art while the world was locked down was a quarantine hobby. Now that the world is reopening, I find that I still need beauty. Here is a bonus Monet. Happy Saturday and tap photo for full image.

During lockdown, I started posting art to reinforce that there is beauty in the world. Even though our lives are not as restricted, it is still a good way to start the day. Here’s a bonus

Heard outside Columbia University last night: "Never forget the 7th of October. That will happen not 1 more time, not 5 more times, not 10, not 100, not 1,000, but 10,000 times! The 7th of October is going to be every day for you"
Honored to be reappointed to

Bar association membership is so important to keep abreast of new trends in the law and to reinforce camaraderie with colleagues.
Five years ago today, I was honored to become a Laureate, the Illinois Academy of Lawyers highest award. I am one of a few women attorneys to have received that distinction.

Myra Bradwell passed the Illinois bar in 1869 but was refused admission due to her sex. The IL Supreme Court agreed. Eventually, IL changed the rules. She was admitted in 1890 and licensed to practice before SCOTUS in 1892.

2022 was a rough year. (I don't post details of my private life on public social media.) I am grateful for my family and friends, & for those of you who have become friends. Thanks for being there! Here's to 2023, may you have an abundance of love!
Today was a good lawyering day, even in a pandemic. One client’s criminal case dismissed and another’s DCFS investigation unfounded. Happy clients, happy lawyer.
A majority of female lawyers responding to a survey by a New York judicial committee reported inappropriate or demeaning conduct by other attorneys.
