Seems appropriate since the discourse is making it's way through Twitter again... When a lot of marginalized folks in this space see "no politics" especially for the sake of a "drama free" environment, it only makes us feel unsafe, unwelcome, and unheard.

There seems to be this overarching theme that politics simply means which side you're voting for and not the more pressing civil/social/and human rights issues that effect us marginalized folks on a daily basis. This has nothing to do with debating or allowing arguments.

💜March is also Autoimmune Awareness month!💜 There are so many of us that deal with these chronic diseases, with women being around 80% of those diagnosed. It's often fought silently and with seemingly invisible symptoms to others, and constant medical battles.

@D_Houston11 @AshGotThis And the worst part is that he has been fulltime for well over a year, and has worked across three different locations for them. He pretty much got told "You either take what we give you, or we'll give it to someone else". All to have a paycheck less than half what it was before.

As we are all finding out about the terrible tragedy in CO, please protect your peace today. It's also okay to not be okay. And PLEASE do not go into people's streams and announce what happened. This is such a traumatic event and our LGBTQIA2+ community is hurting.
