We were shocked to learn from our members that library workers are expected to work forced overtime, remove "offensive" books and wear black armbands for the next 9 days. Even in death, the monarchy burdens the lives and working conditions of our class
1: if you're laughing down the notion of a 4 day week you're a fool
2: it's morally wrong and economically unnecessary to frame things in terms of "productivity". The freed up time should be taken back by the workers
3: how does a 3 day week sound instead you capitalist swine
ATTENTION
A number of Far-Right Pogroms are being organised in and around London on Wednesday 7th August (This Wednesday).
They are targeting immigration centres and communities in Bretford, Walthamstow, Harrow and North Finchley.

Defeat must be followed by adjustment and by new strategies.
The working class is about to get it hard.
There are other ways to fight.
Join a mutual aid group.
Join a union. Any union. Preferably a grassroots worker led one.
Fight for a tenants struggle.
Build class power
Disgusted to announce that weve discovered that all members of london IWW are members of ...the IWW, a notorious militant terror group, according to the cops. How thisoccurred we dont know. All we know isthere are IWW members at the very heart of our organisation.
SUPPORT BLACKLISTED WORKERS!
An IWW member has been blacklisted for organising his workplace (a craft brewery). Sacked *on the spot* on his first day at work after being snitched on as a union member, this wobbly needs your help!
STAY ALERT for your boss trying to force you back to work during lockdown!
STAY ALERT for violations of workplace health & safety!
STAY ALERT for the govt. lying to the public in order to save its friends in the business community a few £££
FIGHT BACK against abuse of workers!
Section 44 of the Employment rights act gives YOU, the worker, the right to walk away from an unsafe workplace.
Ask yourself: can you afford to exercise that right? And if not, how can you strengthen your hand?
Uber riders take to the streets of Lewisham & Greenwich. Uber are rattled, they're offering a £2/drop bonus to break the strike, but orders are still backing up. Don't order, don't ride

Yes, we have been made aware of the skunk thing, yes it is radical praxis, no we will not be taking questions at this time, no we will not go into further detail.
"Yes. We knew nothing. Yes officer, huge misunderstanding. Not that kind of misunderstanding no. Yes. Yes. Thank you."

"Got away with it lads nice one"
The locations (post codes) of the centres being attack will be listed below.
PLEASE STAY SAFE ON WEDNESDAY
Watch out for your neighbours and your communities. If you know of anyone in any of the areas listed, please warn them!
We won a case with a bar worker this week too ✊ a worker was singled out, given a final written warning after a customer failed to pay a bill. The worker spoke to us, we got him a rep, appealed the decision, we won and now has no warning on his record!

We have nothing but love, respect, and

for the striking lecturers, but this is shocking stuff from

.
The "final offer"?! Isn't the point of going on strike to secure a better offer? Who's side are you on here?
Hi Shirin,
This is the final offer from employers. It's right that members who have spent today standing on picket lines have their say on the offer
Please vote

The London branch of the IWW is proud to launch the Brewery Workers Union (BWU).
The craft beer boom of the last 10 years has been great for beer, bad for workers.
If you work in a brewery and are having issues at work follow the BWU and get in touch. DMs open

We will be mobilising within the next week. We need boots on the ground for a militant union action.

We urgently need a moratorium on rent and evictions, and a guarantee of pay for all workers. The alternative is unthinkable. It's essential that some kind of system to provide for this be implemented otherwise any attempt to self isolate at scale will be severely hindered
the 0 day week is what we get when we exploit vulnerabilities inherent in the capitalist system to take the entire week off. Current known 0 days include "the mass strike" "theft" and the more elusive "massive workers revolts across all sections of society"
Ya know how we're always told street protests are bad cause they block emergency vehicles? Turns out just one rich f*ck can get the cops to close bus and ambulance routes just so he can have some nice petunias.
Quite a lot of us have been forced out of work, 25% of us even end up homeless at some point.
Have you experienced workplace bullying campaigns

We encourage all our members and friends to attend:
Staff at Hachette UK working on J K Rowling's new book The Ickabog have threatened to down tools over the author's recent comments affecting the transgender community, as the publisher continues to support the author. More here:
London’s craft breweries have a reputation for being socially conscious, involved in the community, and supporting good causes. However, when it comes to workers’ rights, too many of these companies fall short.
Really can't emphasise this enough: avoiding climate catastrophe isn't about the loss of consumer convenience. Rather, it's an opportunity to abolish needless toil, to rationalise production, and to build meaningful and democratic social relations.
There's the potential to massively improve quality of life via a rational, ecological society and instead it's like 'You won't be able to drive to work or fly 3 hours for a three day holiday because you can't afford to take any more time off work to get the train'.
Remember when the restaurant industry was in trouble & the gov't gave us 'eat out to help out', effectively subsiding bosses with 100s of millions 💷💷.
Yet when we demand
#InsulateBritain
, the answer is arrests & more police powers. Funny that.
@InsulateLove
@JustStop_Oil
At some of these breweries workers have begun joining the Industrial Workers of the World trade union (IWW) and have made gains in regards to health and safety, forced overtime, and challenging bullying bosses.
WHAT'S DISGUSTING?
UNION BUSTING!
The Queen may have been a nice grandmother or whatever, but we should have no illusions: the monarchy props up the wider capitalist order. Imperialism shaped capitalism and and drives it to this day. Working class organisations have no stake in monarchs or the monarchy.
SOLIDARITY CALLOUT: If you are in south London and can get to Penge pizza hut for 6pm, please come and exercise at a social distance in solidarity with the 40 pizza hut workers owed 5 weeks pay and not furloughed. Pizza hut said they will pay but still no money.
We are conducting a FULL investigation into how many of our key organisers may be members of the IWW, or indeed, even more dangerous groups, such as CND
ALERT TO ALL COURIERS. Cops are stopping delivery riders and asking for ID and documents along Kingsland road in London! Be careful! Avoid area if possible and keep an eye out.
@queerantifa
My understanding of the strategic rationale is that it's meant to precipitate a terminal crisis in terms of internal structural functions of capitalism but also it's so that 1 day per week goes to brewing vape juice
Please remember if you are asked to go to work in unsafe conditions, for example without adequate PPE with people who are ill or where social distancing cannot happen, you are entitled to walk off the job. Contact your local branch of IWW for support.
the law is very straight forward on your rights if your workplace poses a clear risk to your health: you do not have to attend
if you don't feel safe attending work, you should not have to attend work
if you are unsure of your rights, contact us. we've got your back
Wanna join in? We will need numbers for round two! We are going to be running a picket again today and need boots on the ground.
Uber and deliveroo won't stop gouging money out of their employees and WE won't stop fighting them over it!
Everyone wants to talk about "unskilled" labour, but 10% of the world trade market is right now depending on how fast this fellow worker can shovel dirt.
If anyone ever tells you the police exist to stop crime, show them this. The police are instruments of social control, explicitly designed to enforce labour discipline - both at high points of class struggle and in the day-to-day lives of working people.
“Inevitably the vast majority of Deliveroo riders, 85 percent of those stopped, were guilty of nothing but being some of the lowest-paid, least supported and most abused workers in the capital”
The Furlough reduction plan being floated by the Chancellor has the potential to be disastrous.
Not only is it based on an exploitative ideological dogms, and a false belief in a mythical "addiction to worklessness", it has the potential to demolish much of the economy
IF YOU CAN MAKE IT TO A MILITANT ACTION IN LONDON THIS EVENING PLEASE DM.

Next time someone tells you that radical social change is "utopian", point out that there's nothing more utopian than the concept of someone pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps.

Reminder: Your workmates won't join a union because they lose a debate about why unions are good. Rather, your conversations need to build confidence that things at work can be improved if you stick together. And that the union is a tool to help you do that.

Normally, we love the

but what the actual f*ck is going on here?
Be f*cking fuming if the momentum behind the rail strikes is lost to show deference to the embodiment of empire that has spent generations slaughtering the global working glass.
Tfw the Branch Area Organiser shows you the membership growth graphs from the union membership office and you realise the organisation has doubled its size in 2 years...
YES I'm in the IWW.
YES I'm shitposting live from the picketline.

This Saturday 16th May 6pm join London IWW reps and organisers for an online Coronavirus Q & A.
We will cover:
- Section 44 of the health & safety act and how it can be used.
- Organising and direct action during covid.
- Furlough leave.
- 45 minutes discussion and questions.
Excited to announce that due to the success of our meticulously planned series of industrial actions &wildcat strikes this year the gifts were delivered solely by incredibly inebriated elves rocketing anout on the sleigh having fully unionized the workshop. It's a wobbly shop now
The Industrial Workers of the World are taking the online English teaching company The Overseas Teacher to employment tribunal in a case which cuts to the heart of the modern TEFL industry.

Wow. External examiners at Liverpool university just collectively resigned from the university's School of Law and Social Justice.
They did it to protest the uni basically lying to students about the content of the law, and using threats against visa holding students.

protests in London over the next week.
Police racism and police violence are also endemic in this country and it's critical we all chip in to fight back.
The very concept of "real unions" being defined by their proximity to the TUC is thoroughly insulting and denigrate the efforts of the workers at
@UVWunion
Reality is, independent unions have put more effort into resisting this current crisis than most of the big ones combined
The events in DC are just plain cold evidence of what happens when you let the far right grow.
They also show the massive gulf between how the state responds to truly radical protests like the BLM movement, and how it responds to reactionary movements.
If there is no provision for the continued pay AND alleviation of rent for workers forced to self isolate while on no or diminished pay then there should be a general strike both in workplaces AND via witholding rent.
These people aren't just violent, they have genocidal intent. It's a lynch mob. This is what happens when the state normalises mass murder. The UK government has legitimised the use of violence against the racially marginalised.
Racist gangs have set alight the hostel where terrified migrants are huddled and are now storming it.
This is a joint enterprise to commit murder. Those involved aren’t just these thugs but the politicians & media outlets that have normalised racism.

5 days before Christmas Delfin English School unlawfully sacked their entire teacher staff, the majority of whom were members of the IWW TEFL Workers’ Union.
This is a disgrace and makes a complete mockery of the rights of workers who belong to social minorities and oppressed groups to have safe workplace environments. Fostering anti trans rhetoric in the workplace is a fundamental attack on workers rights
Seriousposting again for a minute: Uber & Deliver exist as the vanguard of finance-capital. They are not intended to be amazing profit spinners until they establish monopolies over the modern municipal transit/courier economy. They run at losses to destroy existing insitutions
At Saturday's May Day rally, we ran into some comrades showing
