A little happy person with much love for Fulham FC (ST H6), Dick Van Dyke, terrible B movies and being a raucous hug-fairy ππ§ββοΈπ€π€β€ & ππ€
@PaulAlanProject
This thread is something I never thought I would be writing when I woke up yesterday morning and I hope my numb mind can muster the words to convey some of what we as a family are feeling today. The first and only thing to say, really, is THANK YOU.
My Dad was the kindest, loveliest man. He did everything for his family. He was our rock & we will miss him, love him & cherish our precious memories with him every day. Sleep well Dad π€π€ I know you'll be seated on a cloud above the Cottage on matchdays looking down on us β€β€
And lastly, as I knew I would forget something, is a thank you to our international Fulham and football family. My friends in the US, particularly, and the kindness of people from as far as Japan, Brazil and Australia and across the world. Every one has given us strength x
Thank you, lastly, to our beloved
@FulhamFC
. Dad lived & breathed his whites and it was the most fitting end to his life that his last journey was to a standing ovation at our beautiful Craven Cottage. Thank you to the Khans, our players & all the staff at Fulham for your support
Thank you to everyone, across the country, from football teams and fans up and down the UK who have sent their love and condolences to us. All your words have been a comfort and I know Dad would be so humbled by it all. We read some out to him last night as we kissed him goodbye
Thank you to everyone who helped my Dad & family yesterday. From the steward I shouted frantically at to get medical help, to all our Hammersmith end family who alerted the players & medics to the emergency that was unfolding with my Dad, to the off duty policemen, Tom & his pal
Thank you to the off-duty doctor in the green tee-shirt who was dripping in perspiration after trying so hard to save my wonderful, beautiful Dad's life. Thank you to the on and off pitch medics of
@BlackpoolFC
&
@FulhamFC
who who helped revive my Dad after his first arrest
Thank you to everyone for all the love we have received. We are not only a very special Fulham family, we are a football family. Rivalries don't matter when you are a human who is hurting & needs help. All that matters is love and kindness and we have been given that in abundance
To the fans who held the flags to shield my Dad, the crowd who helped clear the gangway to allow Dad the best care possible.The Fulham client team who helped us cope emotionally,the lovely stewards who were just there for us & the steward who made me eat 1/2 a kit kat for energy
Thank you to the fans who gave us words of comfort, for all of you around the ground for giving my Dad the ovation he deserved as he left the ground, his heart beating on its own. I know he would have been aware of your love and support at that point
Thank you to Dr Barbara & Dr Chan and their marvellous team at
@ImperialNHS
Charing Cross who didn't give up on my Dad for over an hour, they were fighting for his life until they knew God had taken him and there was no way back β€
Thank you to all the staff at
@ImperialNHS
Charing Cross for your love, care, support and attentiveness as all my family came together to say goodbye to my lovely Dad. Thank you for allowing us a dignified and beautiful way to be together to do that. It means the world to us
Thank you to all the first responders, it was a whirlwind and I don't think I know how many of you there even were and I wish I could remember your faces so I can meet you all again and thank you all for treating my Dad like you were saving your own.
Thank you to the ambulance crew, Annabel and her team who tried their hardest to help my Dad when he arrested again outside our beloved Craven Cottage. Thank you to the steward who made me tea with about 100 sugars in!
The fact that this thread is so long, shows how many people we wanted to thank and I hope I can thank you all personally one day. To
@TomMoberly213
and his incredible work and that of his team, we thank you and love you.
@ThomasCairney
Thanks
@ThomasCairney
He's my Dad. A beautiful man and Fulham to the core. He would appreciate this so much. I read the message from the club out to him when I said goodbye to him just now π€ π€ Everyone has been incredible all day & we couldn't ask for more love, care & support
April 2015, my daughter's first
#FFC
game. She sat on her Grandad's lap every match day for so many seasons, I always wondered if he could actually see everything with her on his lap but they were both happy that way. My Dad summed up in one tweet π€π€β€
We're completely overwhelmed with everyone's love tonight. Thank you, again, to our
@FulhamFC
& football family. Thank you to
@MillwallFC
fans who celebrated Dad's life with us in the 11th minute. He had enough love & energy to fill a football stadium & you gave that back tonight
A week on. Today is a sad one. Can't help but reflect on this time last week and how 'normal' and happy everything was. Where ever you are at 15.10 today, make sure you tell your loved ones that they are special to you or make someone smile π€π€β€
Back of hammy end, singing my Dad's name. Thank you, that meant a lot. He was the best and for you to remember him made the day even more special. A sad, happy, overwhelming, beautiful day π€π€β€

We are stronger with the love of our Fulham family π€π€β€ We are beyond overwhelmed with all the love and support. If anyone wants to know how we are strong it's because of the strength of love we have received from every single person at our club. Thank you to you all π€π€β€
What a tribute on the 11th minute. I donβt hear much once the whistle goes but I heard that. Those 3 pts are for Paul Parish and his family. I canβt imagine the strength it must have taken to be there tonight
@LittleClarePom
and Fliss. You have our full support πͺπΌπͺπΌ

I can't put in to words what last night meant to us. We felt so much love, empathy, warmth & kindness from everyone involved in our club that will boost us to go forward in to the next few weeks. Thank you to our wonderful

squad, Marco & LuΓs for their words of supportπ€π€β€
We have decided to donate the money that everyone has kindly given in memory of my Dad to 3 charities:

Thank you to your medical team that fought for my dad and never gave up on him. We have no doubt that everyone gave everything they could to make my Dad better. Blackpool will always have a place in our hearts π€π€π§‘
A beautiful photo of my Dad here. He was a Riverside steward for many years and I remember him going to football looking this smart before I was going to games with him in the crowd. He always put on his aftershave and looked so smart on matchdays and he was so proud to stewardβ€
@LittleClarePom
so sorry for your loss clare sending love to you and the family , somebody in a fulham whatsapp group im in posted this pic with dad in it this morning from years ago β€π€π€

Wednesday night would have been the nearest match to Dad's 70th birthday where we planned to embarrass him & celebrate. We're still going to decorate his seat & sing happy birthday in the 70th minute - please join us if you want to - also, we will have cake to share

Mitro scoring was the last thing to make my Dad smile in this world - a legend, indeed and a person who will always be entwined in our family history π€π€β€
This season has been the best & worst. Our football family is wider than this pic (with further good friends in Blackpool & the US) but this is how we end this season, like many, I'm sure, full of love, loss & hope. It's been one of tears, joy & the best of humanityπ€π€β€

Sending love to everyone who starts this football season without their loved ones by their sideβ€οΈ
No matter how cross I get during a game, I will always remember to be thankful for those around me who I share the ups and downs with π€π€β€οΈ
Tonight; heading in to the fixture that Dad spoke about at the beginning of the season & said "Whatever happens, I'm going to West Brom, I've never been before & want to go". Only champ ground he'd not been to. Instead he'll be watching from his Cottage in the Sky

Chelsea fan just threw a glass bottle at my cousin's car over Putney Bridge. Starting on 2 women and 3 young girls in a car. Open window, narrowly missed my 13 year old niece. Absolute scum. No words for how despicable that lot are.
Matchdays are where I feel closest to Dad & now we don't have that for a few months, him not being with us feels more apparent. We cleaned his car & cut the grass for him yesterday. I knew he was watching me; arms folded, tutting cos I missed a bit but I tried to make him proud x
Dad & I hid this on each other since 2004. We found it in eachothers' sock drawers, toolboxes, lunchboxes & all sorts of places over the years. Dad hid it so well in my home once, I didn't find it for 8 months π€ I just found it in Dad's car glovebox. This is my treasure β€π€π€
Being a Fulham supporter right now is a brilliant thing. There is nothing better than being around such happiness & positivity every match day watching entertaining football. Marco Silva has not only lifted the chins of the players but us fans too & it feels rather exciting
#FFC
Happy 70th birthday Dad π€π€β€
If you were so inclined, please raise a glass of your favourite something today for him or pop a Β£1 in our Crowdfunder: or just look up in the direction of the Cottage in the Sky & give him & all our loved ones a smile.
Painfully missing Dad today so am listening to one of the bands he used to love playing on LP, remembering how bored I was at 10yrs old listening to Barclay James Harvest all morning not realising that 30 years later these songs would make me feel the closest to my Dad π€π€β€οΈ
So sad to see the divisive-ness and unkindness of some of our
@FulhamFC
fanbase today. One of the most overwhelming things that came after my Dad's death was the solidarity of fans; young and old, strangers and friends as we all just united in grief & support for my family.
More details to follow soon but we would love to see as many people as possible join us for some or all of the walk to raise awareness of cardiac arrests, how to perform

& use a defibrillator and to raise funds to purchase more Public Access Defibrillators

As we have been so touched by all the beautiful messages we have recently received, we have opened an online memorial book for Dad. Please feel free to leave a few words if you wish so we can better capture all your sentiments in one place.Thank you π€π€β€
Looking through old photos and came across this lovely pic - thought someone may know the kid here and appreciate the photo - you never know π€ x

Seeing some of our fans being so unkind to each other is just so unnecessary. Diving on each other after a goal is rather silly - being bloody nasty to your own fans on social media is even worse. Be nice. Enjoy each game, go mad but please be kind and stop squishing people

Whilst that was rubbish from us tonight, it was a ground I wanted to visit, I had some magical hugs, spent time with some of my fave humans & was in stitches at 5 year old peaky blinders giving it to a load of adults π Still fun, still my Fulham and I bluddy love it

Hey Harry, I'm not miserable but I am 4ft9 and weigh 44kg. If you and your pals bundled on top of me I would be very frightened and very injured. People aren't being miserable they just don't want to come away from games with injuries. Have your fun just please don't squish us xx
