On September 30, 2022, more than 54 young girls never returned home after a barbaric terrorist attack hit their learning centre in the Afghan capital of Kabul.
Their only crimes were being a Hazara and a dream to get education.

May 2022: Labor won the election.
July 2022: Australia was ranked 43rd in the World Economic Forum Gender Equality Ranking.
July 2023: Australia jumped 17 places. Now, we're 26th.
Let the results speak for themselves.
Just spoke to a nurse - health system at crisis point with likely not enough staff to meet Covid test demand next week as health workers isolating or have Covid. Compounded by scarcity of rapid kits - should be freely available to all. PM has let us all down. No care.

Our friend and the father of reconciliation, Patrick Dodson, formally retired from the Federal Parliament last Friday.
He is an extraordinary Australian, who makes us all prouder to be Australian.
Thank you for everything Pat.
Can the
#PMforNSW
tell us why his favourite State is getting bigger share of Pfizer than its population and he blames Labor States for low vaccination rates caused by lack of vaccine supply?

Listening to
@Albo
expose the Morrison Govt’s misuse of taxpayers’ money on sports rorts, regional rorts, robodebt. And truly? Did you know Scott Morrison spent $190,000 of taxpayers’ money on an “empathy consultant”?

PM cannot explain in
#QT
why, after seven years in government, there are more than 30,000 older Australians still waiting for
#homecare
packages with some tragically dying before they receive this care.
I just asked the PM why he was ripping JobKeeper from travel agents at the end of the month. His response? Half price flights and a grants scheme that have been thoroughly bagged by the industry as useless

Barnaby Joyce has been appointed to the Morrison Government's Status of Women Taskforce.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Australian women deserve better.
Geelong says Yes.
Today, more than 250 people came together to show their support for a better future.
This year on referendum day let’s vote Yes for Recognition, let’s vote Yes for a Voice and let’s vote Yes for the better future that both will deliver, for us all.
Christian Porter was willing to resign rather than admit who donated to his legal funds.
If he stays in Parliament, he has to tell us where the donation came from. Anything less is unacceptable.

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to brag about the

Good luck in the Grand Final on Saturday Cattas! We are all behind you. 🤍💙

INCREDIBLE NEWS!!!
@AustralianLabor
just voted to urgently increase the JobSeekeer payment above the poverty line!
THANK YOU

@LindaBurneyMP
, you cannot know how much this means to millions of people who rely on unemployment payments to live 🙏❤️🎉

Every chat matters. Every vote matters.
This Referendum, say Yes for a better future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and all Australians.
Say Yes for unity, hope and to make a positive difference.
It's official - the Albanese Labor Government has now created more jobs in a parliamentary term than any Government in history.
Nearly 930,000 jobs have been created since the Albanese Labor Government came to office with an additional 50,200 people in work over the past month.
I am delighted to announce an Albanese Labor Government will commit $125million to build stage two of the Barwon Heads Road duplication. It will be a safer faster commute for everyone in Armstrong Creek, Barwon Heads, Charlemont, Ocean Grove & the Bellarine. Let’s get it built.
Priorities.
Today the Liberals and Nationals teamed up with Pauline Hanson's One Nation to delay the Closing Loopholes Bill.
They spent their entire time in government keeping wages low and holding workers back - and they’re still at it.
This is our opportunity to recognise 65,000 years of history, culture and tradition.
And make a practical difference to the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Shameful backflip by the Member for
#Corangamite
. Had Ms Henderson and Ms Ley stuck to their principles and voted in support of their bill banning live sheep exports, it would have become law this week.

Unlike the Senate the House votes 72-70 against a vote to phase-out of

exports. After putting up their own Bill for a phase-out, Sussan Ley & Sarah Henderson voted against their own convictions

Good morning to everyone except Scott Morrison who has just decided to ditch the Corruption Watchdog he promised over three years ago.
You can't trust a word he says.
Only a Labor Government will establish a National Anti-Corruption Commission with teeth.
Eight hours work. Eight hours recreation. Eight hours rest.
Rights for working people didn't come easily here.
They were hard fought and hard won – and they must always be defended.
Happy Labour Day.
I am pleased the Fair Work Commission has determined to increase the minimum wage by 5.2% - It is vital we support low-paid workers facing increasing cost of living pressures. Thanks
@AlboMP
for lodging a submission advocating for this change.

It makes absolute sense for Australian seafarers to work on Australian ships, flying the Australian flag. Under Abbott, Turnbull & Morrison our shipping fleet has been decimated. Under Labor, we’ll have a strategic fleet flying the Australian flag & creating local maritime jobs.
Spent the afternoon handing out masks in Torquay today. It was great to see so many of you already donning the mask ahead of Monday. It’s a small change we can all make to help stop the spread.
Anyone who has done their homework knows nuclear is not viable.
Peter Dutton and the Coalition must tell us where on the Surf Coast they’re planning to build this nuclear reactor and put its waste.
Today it was reported a 15 year old girl tragically lost her life to covid in Victoria. Josh Frydenberg choosing today of all days to attack Victorians who are struggling, fighting and grieving as a result of his government's failures is an unfortunate development.
#SaySorryJosh
Today, you can be the change Australia needs.
Today, you can vote for Labor.
The truth is that nothing will change if Australia is stuck with Scott Morrison for three more years.
Because Scott Morrison won’t change.
If you want change, vote to change the government.
Inspirational launch of our Women’s Budget Statement. It’s NOT about a political fix. It’s heartfelt enduring

values. Women having a voice, equal pay, job security, independence in retirement, women’s safety. It’s about real reform.

With under 2 weeks until pre-poll - every vote counts.
Tonight, we made more than 2000 calls to locals in Corangamite talking about the upcoming referendum.
On Oct 14:
Vote yes to reconciliation.
Vote yes to listening.
Vote yes to justice.
Vote yes to better results.
Constitutional recognition through the Voice is about bringing our nation together.
It was so great to see so many people come together yesterday to say Yes to the Voice.
It's a yes from Surf Coast.
Make no mistake, what we’re seeing right now is the Americanisation of our healthcare system.
Labor will always fight to protect Medicare in the face of Coalition attacks.

In 2013, Tony Abbott promised that the Liberals would not cut funding to the ABC. Since then, the government has ripped millions of dollars from our public broadcaster.
Labor will reverse the Liberal government's unfair cuts, because we know Australians love and trust our ABC.
Thanks to
@billshortenmp
and the army of passionate Labor supporters who came out in force on this beautiful blue sky day to help me launch my campaign. It is time for a Labor Government!

“I’ll be voting YES because it’s time for change. The Voice will allow Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to have a say on issues that directly affect them. This is a once in a generation opportunity to walk together into a better future”
- Patrick Dangerfield
Awesome to stand with our Surf Coast community, Wadawurrung woman, Corrina Eccles, and amazing local,
@HutchHussein
to support the “Yes” campaign. Nothing better than community coming together to form a human “Yes” at the beach!

Great day.
I've committed $20 million to help make an indoor pool and a
Bellarine Aquatic Centre a reality.
$35.5 million now available to achieve this.
What a day!
More than 2,500 people packed the Barwon Heads Bridge this morning in support of the Voice to Parliament.
We have absolutely everything to gain and nothing to lose by voting YES in the Referendum on October 14!
Pity Morrison’s “plan” is failing so many. It doesn’t matter how many times the PM says “the plan”, “the plan”, “the plan”, his “plan” is failing to help all those young people who are desperately trying to access Pfizer today. Just not enough to go around. It is a race!

JUC Surf was started by a group of uni students making surfboards during the pandemic.
Now they’re the world’s first recycled carbon fibre surfboard company. Based out of a shed in Geelong.
It is a total debacle. Fend for yourself. Federal Government not acting on behalf of the people. PM must make RATs freely available to all including your son. Please take care.
@LibbyCokerMP
My 1st year Apprentice son lives in your suburb. I’m on the other side of the State. His housemate & housemates g’friend tested + via RATs. They have no more RATs, can’t source or afford more & 2 are too sick to line up for hours for PCR. None can work. Worried sick for them.
For the first time in Australian history, the Australian Government is made up by a majority of women. And I am so proud to work with these incredible Labor women.
Since we came to Government in 2022, the Albanese Government has put women at the centre of our policies.
Green energy, renewable jobs and new jobs in a circular economy where waste is manufactured into useful products makes absolute sense for our economy, for our long-term sustainability and for our environment. It’s a no brainer and Labor understands this.
@auspol_aus
In 2010, when I was the Mayor at the Surf Coast Shire, our Council became the first employer in the world to offer staff paid domestic violence leave.
Our government is acting and
showing the national leadership needed to help end violence against women and children.
Peta was larger than life. She loved her job as the Federal Member for Dunkley with an absolute passion, always fighting hard for her constituents.
Hugh and I, and everyone on my team, send our deepest condolences to Rod and the family.
May Peta now Rest in Peace.
Yep. Stranded Australians are angry at the double standard. If you’re on Scott Morrison’s team, you get a government jet, if you’re an ordinary citizen, you get forgotten. Not good enough.
We need a Royal Commission into the Scott Morrison Government’s illegal debt collection of hundreds of millions of dollars from innocent Australians. It’s a disgrace and it must be investigated so it never happens again.

@billshortenmp
Sick and tired of the Morrison Government’s failure to deliver a national anti-corruption watchdog? Then vote Labor because we will do it by the end of 2022.

Dismissive. Condescending. Ultimately, it reveals a Prime Minister who believes he is above questioning. No-one who serves the people is above questioning.
We have everything to gain and nothing to lose by voting “Yes” at the upcoming referendum. On October 14 let’s stand together on the right side of history. It’s time.
Peter Dutton’s nuclear fantasy is all about cheap and divisive politics not cheap and reliable electricity.
Our future will be increasingly powered by cheaper and cleaner renewable energy.
Nuclear costs more, takes longer, and squanders our natural advantages.
Our Minister for the NDIS, Bill Shorten, has just introduced legislation into the Parliament today that is all about nurturing a fairer, more transparent, more compassionate and more accountable scheme for many years to come.
The Liberals have spent $1 billion on government advertising.
That’s $1 billion of your money to tell you how good they think they are.
This is their legacy.
Thankyou Daniel Andrews for your leadership in the face of a Federal Government that is only focused on bagging for political gain. That’s not leadership. It’s not what Victorians need. We need support from our PM. Not to be treated with disrespect after all the self sacrifice.
Cases July 29th: 763 (U.K.), 723 (VIC).
Yesterday: 18,803 (U.K.), 4 (VIC).
That's an eye-opening insight into where we could be if we'd taken a different path.
A lot of people have sacrificed a lot – but it has paid off.
This success belongs to every Victorian.
Thank you.
Today I spent time ringing voters in Eden-Monaro. I was only one of many so thanks everyone who gave up their time to promote our excellent candidate,
@KristyMcBain
It made a difference in Corangamite. I hope it makes all the difference in Eden-Monaro. Vote 1 - Kristy McBain!
If the Federal Government does cave to the demands of Tim Pallas, every single dollar that it costs federal taxpayers should be deducted from Victoria’s GST allocation. This lockdown must end, the Commonwealth chequebook must close, and Victorian Government Ministers must resign.
Scott Morrison owes an explanation to hundreds of sporting clubs around Australia today about why he ignored their interests in favour of saving his own political skin.
@AustralianLabor
Christian Porter is so "shattered" & "unwell" that he can't come to work, however he's had the time & capacity to work with his Minter Ellison team to "launch" a defamation case against the ABC & Louise Milligan.
I see.

Congratulations to Samantha Mostyn AO on being named Australia's next Governor General.
Ms Mostyn is known for her exceptional service to the Australian community.
Best wishes to Ms Mostyn on her appointment.
I recently stood in solidarity with the Hazara community in the Geelong region as part of a national vigil held right across Australia.
And I utterly condemned this attack in which these young girls lost their lives.
